Chapter Text
A few weeks into Buck's rekindled relationship with Tommy, he finally feels secure, in both his life and sexuality.
Sure, Tommy can get a bit rough in bed and is always possessive over Buck whenever Eddie gets brought up in conversation, but he's been assured that gay men like to be rough in bed, and it's not like Tommy's jealousy of Eddie is completely unfounded.
Well, it's not like Buck means to think about him all the time. It's just hard to get him out of his head, especially when he's in his boyfriend's arms and can't stop imagining his best friend there instead.
But that's normal. Everyone thinks about their best friend all the time. They're called best friends for a reason.
Either way, it's all going well.
Until Eddie returns one cold November morning, with Chris in tow.
For some reason Eddie has been wierd around Buck ever since he mentioned the fact that him and Tommy were back together.
They still did movie nights on Friday's with Chris, if they we weren't on shift, drunk beers almost every night, even after buck had a date with Tommy, Eddie always waited for him no matter the time. Hell, he would probably wait till 2 in the morning if Buck didn't arrive back till then. Obviously it's easier for them to hangout, now that they live together and all because Buck doesn't need to find a place.
05/22/25
14:25 - Eddie: Buck, What's the point of buying a new place when you always have a place at OUR house.
Tommy is unreliable, don't even bother asking him if you could live with him!
Come back home and stop wasting your time looking for one.
Also can you grab butter on the way home, Chris won't stop begging me for pancakes ❤️

It was a calmer day at the 118, not quite a Q-word-calm day, but still gave the crew a good 2-3 hours between calls.
It was coming up to lunch time and everyone was hungry and bored.
Bobby was in the kitchen finishing off lunch; his famous 3 cheese lasagna, chimney and hen we're already waiting at the table arguing over whose kids are gonna have the cutest matching Halloween costumes, even though it was 3 months away. Denny probably won't even want to do Halloween anymore because it's too 'babyish', like how Chris doesn't do it anymore.
Buck was laying back on the couch scrolling through Instagram with Eddie leaning on him, fast asleep. Buck doesn't blame him for being asleep, although there haven't been many calls today, when there is they are stage 3-4's and require alot of time and effort which steals everyone's energy.
No one's been able to sleep other than Eddie, who is used to rough sleeping schedules from being in the army.
"Lunch is ready in five!" Bobby called from the kitchen.
"Copy that cap!" Buck replied, still scrolling through Instagram.
He starts running his fingers through Eddie's hair, setting his phone down in the coffee table, trying to wake Eddie up, gently, since he's a light sleeper.
Also, kudos, to being in the army.
A mumbled groan escapes from the half-asleep man, "Mmm, 5 more minutes Buck." Eddie slurs, clearly still exhausted.
Buck chuckles at that, "I don't think you'll want five minutes, lunch is almost ready. Bobby made his famous lasagna!"
Buck turned his head toward the kitchen. Hen and Chimney were helping themselves to the salad with their hands with
Bobby stood behind the counter shaking his head at them yet, amusement visible on his face.
Eddie obtains Buck's attention again by letting out a big yawn, hair still being combed through by Buck.
"I'm getting up!" Eddie mutters wiping drool that slipped from the corner of his mouth.
"Are you sure, because-"
"Hey guys! Have you seen Evan?" A familiar face asked.
