Chapter Text
Vox and Alastor had a catastrophic fight.
Not an apocalypse. A catastrophe.
No one remembered what had started it anymore.
Not even the two of them themselves, which probably meant it had been something complicated—
and ultimately trivial.
They fought with everything they had.
They fought to kill.
And in the end, one of them fell.
Alastor, or Vox… Alastor, or perhaps the other one.
An Overlord—supposed to be immortal—had died a second death.
When the battle finally ended, both of them thought the same thing.
“Damn it.”
Neither of them had meant for it to go this far.
As for which one of them had died—
that was still unclear.
Alastor or Vox… no one knew.
So the two of them decided to postpone the conclusion.
Using their combined magic, they created a universe meant only for the two of them.
A third universe, separate from Hell, Heaven, and the mortal world.
It took the shape of a movie theater.
Perhaps it was the compromise between Vox’s nature as a television-headed demon, and Alastor’s absolute refusal to tolerate television under any circumstances.
Cinema, apparently, was the narrow line both of them could barely accept.
Inside this universe shaped like a theater, the brutal battle that had taken place in Hell had no influence at all.
Death existed only outside the screen.
