Summary
When Leonard opened his eyes next, he found himself in a rather unfamiliar room. It was a room designed for display, not comfort, yet every detail betrayed a sudden, frantic pivot toward the latter. The room was opulent, serene, and as subtly tense as a stage set. Every item whispered, 'You are a treasured guest,' while the bond - which he now realized had been a distant, frantic hum - seemed to shriek from the hallway, 'You are my heart, and you are hurt, and I have built this perfect cage to keep you safe.'
It was less a room and more of a sanatorium designed by a guilt-ridden demigod with unlimited funds and a poet's aesthetic in mind. He couldn’t help but laugh, wondering just when he fell back asleep and how long he'd been out of it.
Or, after the confrontation with Amon and the aftermath of Leonard's 'nightmare', Klein decides to host Leonard through his convalescence. Leonard is, frankly, delighted by this turn of events, if frustrated by the current limitations of his body. Apparently suffering a near total collapse of your Soul Body and Body of Heart and Mind does a number on your spirituality.
