The leader who didn't know how to feel

Summary:

When (Y/n) appears in Lost Hex, the Zeti see them as nothing more than a human nuisance destined to give up quickly.
But their stubbornness and unexpected ability to survive catch the attention of Master Zik, who reluctantly takes them on as his apprentice.
Little by little, (Y/n) begins to earn a place among the Zeti… even in the heart of Zavok, who has no idea how to handle feelings he never expected to have.
In a world where strength means everything, (Y/n) will have to prove that there are other kinds of power.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

The world of (Y/n) had always been loud.
Too loud.
Between responsibilities they never asked for, expectations they could never meet, and silences that weighed more than any words, they had learned to live with the constant feeling of not belonging.
As if they were walking through a place that had never been meant for them.
As if everything around them was too big, too fast, too unfamiliar.
Some days, the noise came from the outside—voices, obligations, stares.
Other days, it came from within, a persistent echo they didn’t know how to quiet.
But that night, the noise vanished.
The sky split open with a strange flash, a light that didn’t belong to any storm they knew.
The air vibrated, as if something—or someone—was calling them from a place that shouldn’t exist.
A cold shiver ran down their spine, as though the world itself had stopped to hold its breath.
One step back.
Another forward.
A suspended moment.
And then, the void.
There was no time to scream.
No time to think.
Only an endless fall, a freezing wind cutting against their skin, and a distant sound that wasn’t human.
A deep, ancient echo, coming from somewhere that didn’t follow the rules of their world.
When (Y/n) opened their eyes, they were no longer home.
The sky was different, painted in impossible colors.
The ground too—rough, alive, unfamiliar.
And although they didn’t know it yet, they were not alone.
From somewhere within the shadows, bright eyes watched them with a mix of curiosity, distrust… and something harder to name.
That was the beginning.
The moment their life stopped being noise…
and became something entirely different.
