Summary
“Blade!” Max calls out, from halfway across the room, as she catches her friend’s eye. Excellent. She’d rather be in this game with someone she knows, anyway, but if she’s in it with Blade, there’s a handful of places they can revisit that she wouldn’t with most other people. It’s a tricky process, and Blade is one of the few who can manage it consistently, and that’s not even remotely why. “Got time for a game?”
“Always,” Blade says, clasping hands with her as they bump their elbows together, then hug. Just like she hoped, Blade has that gleam in her eye that means not only does she know exactly what part of the game Max means, she’s been thinking about it too. Maybe she even came here just to play it – Blade can be a little more daring than Max about who she takes on her adventures. “Did you already reserve the full body suits?”
