“I know you know,” Buffy says, with a shrug, jabbing at her again from too far away to possibly hit – she’s joking again. Kendra waits for the other slayer to get to her point. With this girl, it may take a lot of waiting. “But what you don’t know is that slayers can share senses. Uh-huh. They didn’t tell you that in boot camp, did they?”

“Always,” Blade says, clasping hands with her as they bump their elbows together, then hug. Just like she hoped, Blade has that gleam in her eye that means not only does she know exactly what part of the game Max means, she’s been thinking about it too. Maybe she even came here just to play it – Blade can be a little more daring than Max about who she takes on her adventures. “Did you already reserve the full body suits?”

Ayda walked up behind Farai, rubbing her shoulders without saying anything, and at least Farai wasn’t so lost in thought that she ignored it. She didn’t say anything, but she rested her hands atop Ayda’s as they moved toward her neck. She was staring in the mirror again, and Ayda was getting used to waiting longer than usual for words.
“I thought it would be faster than this,” Farai said. Murmured, really, but Ayda had expected something along these lines, and caught it. “It seems faster in everyone else.”
“And to everyone else, you’re changing astonishingly fast,” Ayda said, giving Farai a kiss on the cheek that caused a slight laugh at the tickle.

Dreama is really getting the hang of college. It makes way more sense than high school. For one, if she’s really bored, she can just… not go. Even if she has to go, she’s basically amazing at the body double spell, and as long as she remembers to teach it to say could you repeat that? everything goes great. That way she can go get a coffee or sit in the park or take a nap. It’s just that it’s usually boring things like that, and not the best party ever, that she’s totally been invited to personally this time, and not just because anyone can go.
Which means, when her copy shows up, she’s really a lot prettier than usual.
