Chapter 1: Explanation of AU

  • DO NOT USE THE PERCY JACKSON SERIES FOR UNDERSTANDING
  • Based on POV, the writing style will change
  • Since both authors hate Zeus and he was useless because other gods did his work while he got the glory as the controller of the domain, he will be erased from the story and existence
  • Gaea will be based on Greek mythology, not the Percy Jackson Series, so she will be neutral
  • We will be focusing on the more well-known myths, and for some, we might change almost entirely; others will only have character changes or more characters added (we will put in the notes before each chapter which change is occurring)
  • While most myths will be changed, it will still be Greek Mythology and involve incest, sexual assaults, and more (In the notes of each chapter, we will add warnings if there are. Most of it will just be mentioned, and there will be no real explicit scenes)
  • The myths will be in order of when they occur, but you don’t have to necessarily read all of them. If some have themes that make you uncomfortable, SKIP IT
  • Hestia will be the oldest (4 mortal years younger than Aphrodite and older than Hades; 20-25 years older than Demeter, Hera, and Poseidon)
  • We will often mention minor gods, but we will describe who they are, so you don’t have to do much outside research
  • Ares will be rightfully shown as the protector of women and not a blood thirsty monster
  • Poseidon and Athena will have a proper rivalry instead of being enemies
  • Athena will have her usual flaws, but not so much that she becomes an idiot
  • Because Zeus is gone, most gods and goddesses will have a change in parents/creation (Ej, Apollo & Artemis are born from Helios and Selene; Ares & Athena will be born from Pandora’s box)
