A reimagining of the myth of Hades and Persephone.
New names, same heart.
Original names, ancient souls.In a world where gods are born with names that define their purpose, one goddess is born with none. For centuries she is simply "Child." When her father finally speaks her true name — Primavera — it is not a gift. It is a life sentence: six months bringing spring to the world, six months alone in absolute darkness.
In the deepest chamber of her cave, she discovers a crack that bleeds impossible light from the Kingdom of the Dead. She tries to open it with her bare hands. Not to escape her fate, but because she saw the King of the Dead once, at a party she attended covered in moss and nettles, howling like a creature — and he looked at her.
He has no idea she exists. She has already named her fungi after him.

A pleasant warm breeze blew through the many rows of blossoming trees located on the boundary of Persephone’s grand garden. Still wet with the morning rain numerous Spring flowers bloomed giving the air a pleasant aroma. In the centre of the immense garden stood a small, elegant dwelling. Persephone and Hecate relaxed in the attached pergola.
Persephone raised a cup of tea to her lips and leisurely watched the amber liquid swirl in her glass.
Growing irritated with Persephone’s detached silence Hecate spoke first.

She was born unique, as everyone is, but it was the type of uniqueness that got one killed at the ripe old age of ten minutes from the womb. Instead she was given the chance to live the length of life her kind could only dream of. If they grew up enough to dream in the first place. Now one newborn baby of the royal prince and princess born to the same cursed power as she sends her swirling into the danger her own father had died to protect her from.
Will she succeed in stifling the prejudice on pain of death the king has set for her kind? Will she stop the soldier’s blades from cutting off the heads of all of her kinds future? Or will she end up as one more execution under their tyrannical leader’s crown.
Also, why won’t the voices in her head shut the fuck up?

Percy Jackson has survived a lot in the last few years. He should finally be able to take a break, but the Gods never let that happen. Only, the thing is, this time it isn't the Gods from his world that are trying to get to him - instead, they're from a world where they can no longer have children, and they desperately want them. It's weird, being actively sought out by Gods who (for once) don't mean harm, but their interest in his life is even weirder. Especially when he has to confront it himself.
OR: percy is taken by gods from a universe where they can't have demigods, and the magic used to find him also creates a set of books about his life - because each time one of the living demigods are mentioned, they, too, are summoned to meet their alternative parents. (although not every one of them turns up.) they've been planning to find them for a while, and now, they aren't willing to let them go. (he'll figure something out. hopefully.)

Apollo is dead, but not really. He's killed Python, but the sheer effort has him Fading into Chaos. Somehow, he ultimately wakes up from all of that - but not in his universe, and not in his time. Instead, he's back in Ancient Greece, in a world where the Gods have been cursed by Kronos to never have mortal children, and cannot even bless mortals, which might explain by the Oracle of Delphi keeps dying. Why does his Oracle always have bad things happening to them in every universe, anyway?
(OR: apollo dies at the end of his trials, and ends up being revived in a universe where demigods don't exist, and the Gods are desperate for children. something intervenes to bring them some, from the universe where the gods can have children - but rarely cherish them. unfortunately, this new universe still has issues, and apollo doesn't just mean how affectionate these gods are, because the curse extends to mortals with the favour of the divine - and so the holders of the spirit of prophecy usually ends up, well, insane, which feels like a cruel joke, because he's just fixed his own oracle. oh, and once again, something wants to kill them. how is he meant to get back to his own universe now?)
