When the Oracle of Delphi speaks through Apollo telling the counsel that the 'first prophecy' is coming into play no one knows what that means. That is until the are transported into the past and only one god can have caused this. Now they have to either make sure that the 'first prophecy' is completed or a new better way of life is created.

Upon receiving this news, he decided to distance himself from all contact with the demigods, instead traveling the world and doing work for his father, taking the opportunity to feed on humans.
Alec Volturi was a vampire, but he was different from the others. He never wanted to be transformed like his sister, nor could he fully adapt to his condition. Even after being nearly killed by witchcraft at the age of 15 along with his twin sister, he still had compassion for human life. Therefore, he allowed his sister to prepare his meals and gave him blood in goblets.
The two worlds meet when Nico is alone in a cemetery in Volterra after feeding and he finds Alec humming to the moon.
