When Ilya Rozanov was looking for a roommate in the summer leading into Shane’s second year of university, he didn’t even consider it at first, but when he eventually realized how difficult it was to find housing close to his school, he decided to reach out.
They had been on the same hockey team for a year and got along mostly fine, it couldn’t be that bad, right? Shane would agree with that statement, though Ilya wasn’t sure he would. Shane was not a bad roommate at all, in fact, Ilya was kind of heavily crushing on Shane, though he didn’t frequently admit that. That part was bad enough, but to make it worse Shane had a boyfriend who Ilya had once described as ‘Satan himself’ to the only person who knew about his crush, his best friend of many, many years, Svetlana.
