Chapter Text
Tim drake shifted in his seat trying not to fidget sitting in fazbear entertainments sterile conference room was not his idea of a fun Saturday, he was supposed to be over at Bruce’s running through patrol prep or getting homework done that he’s neglected.but instead. His dad had insisted on Tim tagging along for ” Introducing Tim into the world of business.”
His dad was talking to two guys, a man with a smile that reached his eyes wearing a purple tie who he recognized as William Afton and a tired slightly chubby man — Henry Emily the founders of fazbear entertainment.Tim has only been there about twice . First time for ives birthday party when he was 9. Second was this meeting. Tim could never find time in his schedule to actually spend money in this place. The animatronics were always intriguing, kinda creepy but cool. That’s one thing he didn’t mind being here for.
“Tim,if you want you can go hang out in the arcade.” His dad spoke up.
“Sure,” Tim shrugged, he had nothing better to do.
He got up, closing the room door behind him. The pizzeria was packed, there were kids running around everywhere, some his age.the faint smell of pizza and little kid stench lingered. He walked over to the arcade section and plopped in front of one of the games inserting a coin. His hands flew over the buttons as he tried to beat his own highscore. Just as he was about to use the last combo he heard footsteps behind him.
“ You suck.”
Tim slowly turned around to the voice and there was Micheal Afton standing behind him casually with his foxy mask tilted against his head.Tim knew well not personally if you count sitting in front of him in algebra and getting paper balls thrown at him every five seconds. He was a kid who enjoyed making teachers twitch and also the son of the guy who runs this joint so rest assured he takes advantage of it.
“What?”
“ You heard me.” Micheal said.” Your moves? Pathetic. Now move.”
Tim was confused and kind of getting irritated but he’d rather not get into a fight over a street fighter arcade game especially with the son of the dude his dad’s trying to partner with.He wouldn’t ruin his chances like that.slowly he stood up keeping his expression neutral. Micheal quickly kneeled down at the machine he pulled a screw driver out of his pocket and unscrewed the coin slot machine taking out the coins and shoving it in his pocket. Tim stared. You see something new every day he thought.
Micheal turned to him grinning; he tossed a coin at Tim, who catched it easily.
“now scram .”
Tim stared for a moment before turning around to head back towards the conference room, but Micheal’s voice stopped him again.
“ Wait a sec.” He said, tilting his head.”You’re that kid who sits in front of me in…algebra yeah I know the back of that head from anywhere.”
“ maybe because you keep throwing stuff at it.” Tim muttered trying to keep his voice steady.
“ oh cmon don’t be like that, it’s all just fun and games.”
Yeah fun and games until you wake up from a nap at school and you have not just tiny wet paper balls stuck in your hair but bruises from patrol so now the school thinks your a victim of bullying and abuse so they contact your dad who contacts the school who interrogates you on your living situation and names of all your classmates. Just for wet paper balls to still be stuck in your hair, obviously Tim didn’t say that out loud so he just scoffed.
“ What was your name again Jimmy?, Libby?, chimmy ?.”
Tim sighed.” It’s Tim..”
“Rightt.” Micheal dragged out turning his attention back towards his game..” I’m pretty sure you know my name.”
“ Kind of hard to forget.” Tim said. This kid was the king of egotistical and Tim wanted nothing more to do with him at the moment.
Thankfully his prayers were answered when his dad walked into the arcade.
“ Tim ,are you ready to go?,” he asked.
Tim breathed a quiet sigh of relief, grateful for the interruption. He didn’t even bother hiding his relief as he hurriedly walked over to his dads side.” Yeah. I’m ready.” Before he left he shot a quick glance at Micheal who was still endorsed in his game, he obviously wasn’t bothered or cared about the interruption.
“ Good.” His dad said, clapping Tim lightly on the back,” Don’t want your brain melting now from all this arcade nonsense..”
“ Yeah, wouldn't want that.” Tim’s dad wasn’t a fan of the Fazbear entertainment company he was more intrigued in how much he could invest off of it, Tim couldn’t blame him for something striked him off about the place and he didn’t just mean Micheal Afton.

Micheal didn’t look up when Tim walked away.
The arcade machine flashed bright colors across his face while he handled the controls with practiced ease. He’d already beaten the high score about three times today anyway. It wasn’t about winning, it was more about boredom.
That was partially why he went to bother Tim anyway, the other part was because his dad told him to ‘go engage with Mr Drake's son’,he already knew who he was not because he cared—obviously. But because he could never get a proper reaction out of him. Most kids Micheal messes with either get scared or mad at him.Tim did neither he just sleep through it or ignore him with that neutral expression like he was mentally filling everything away.
It was annoying.
Micheal leaned back against the stool shoving another handful of stolen quarters into his pocket.
“Dude’s weird.”
“ Mike.”
The high pitched voice made him roll his eyes immediately.Elizabeth stood a few meters away, bouncing on her feet her bright red hair following the movement. She was chowing down on a piece of cake she probably took from the kitchen.
“What do you want ,Liz ?” Micheal groaned without turning around.
“I saw you stealing coins again,” she singsonged.
“ Congratulations, you have eyes.”
“Daddy told you to stop doing that.”
Micheal finally turned around on the stool. “ Well , ‘daddy’ also said stop going near circus baby, yet you still do it.” He waved the screw driver lazily.
“Hey, I won’t tell if you don’t” she stepped closer holding out her pinky.
“ Deal.” Micheal interlocked their pinkies together.” Remember snitches get stitches.”
“ You say that every time.” She said looking unbothered.
Before Micheal could say anything else their dad came up beside them.” Micheal.”
Great. “ Dad.”
Williams' gaze dropped to the open slot machine, the screwdriver in Micheal’s hand and the very obvious full pocketHe didn’t say anything about it.
“ You didn’t bother Mr. Drake's son, did you?” he was wearing that one smile he gave to every adult and child he saw. To show that everything was perfectly normal.
Micheal shrugged.
“Micheal.”
“Relax, I was just talking to him.”
William studied for a moment then sighed quietly.” Try not to antagonize the children of potential investors, that wouldn’t be very helpful for me.”
“ Yeah, yeah.”
Elizabeth hopped over to William tugging on his sleeve.” Daddy can I see baby later?”Williams' attention shifted towards her his smile didn’t falter but his voice stern.
“ No.”
“ But why, didn't you make her just for me?” Elizabeth crossed her arms with a dramatic huff.
Micheal snorted.”Told you idiot.” Micheal could never understand why his dad wouldn’t let liz near that thing.
Liz stuck her tongue out of him. William straightened up his sleeve that Elizabeth was tugging on.
“That boy seems interesting.” William said.
“Who?, Drake?” Micheal asked.
“Yes,”
Williams' eyes turned towards the stage where the animatronics sang.”I think we may be seeing more of him.”
