Work Text:
"I am,
my sister’s tears,
my brother’s rage,
and the smoke that remains."
(until I scream, I aim, and I kill.)
"I am,
what remains in the soil,
or what drips red
and sheds skin."
(It’s my little brother I see lying still.)
"I am and therefore I feel,
the remaining memory and it’s keel."
(even if its one I have to remember through dirt and graveyard stones.)
"at last,
there’s the lion."
"I see him looking
tall and small, large and thin, kind and cruel.
among the trees, the leaves,
he looks almost like home."
(one I would have run away from.)
(I did.)
