Hayden: Can’t wait to see you at practice! Man, summer went by so fast this year.
Shane: I know what you mean. I’m looking forward to a great season.
Hayden: How was the cottage? Quieter than my house, I bet.
Shane: It was really great, thanks.
Hayden: Oh, 'really great', huh? Did a certain someone stop by? Maybe with a flower name?
Shane: I told you, Rose and I are just friends now.
Hayden: I was actually talking about Lily. Damn, is that your type? Floral?
Shane: No, that’s not my type.
Hayden: Well? Did you guys kiss and make up?
Shane: You could say that. We’re officially together now.
Hayden: YES! So happy for you, man.
Shane: Thanks, Hayden.
Hayden: So…when are we meeting her?
Shane: What?
Hayden: Wdym “what”? You’ve been texting for years! I don’t even know what she looks like! What hair color does she have? Eyes?
Shane. Blond and blue eyes.
Hayden: Lol, I think you mean blonde. She sounds cute! Not as cute as Jackie, though.
Shane: Sure. Right. Thanks. I’ll see you at practice.
Hayden to Jackie: Big news!
Jackie: You got a new career?
Hayden: You’re so funny, babe. Nope. Hockey is forever. No, but it’s about Shane!
Jackie: Is he okay?
Hayden: He’s great! Lily’s his girlfriend now!
Jackie: OMG! That’s awesome.
Hayden: For real. Now we just need to convince him to let us meet her.
Jackie: Are you sure it’s him we need to convince? I mean, some girls are hesitant to meet a bunch of hockey fanatics.
Hayden: That’s a good point. What if it’s Lily that we need to talk to?
Jackie: I have an idea…
Jackie to Lily: Hi! This is Jackie Pike. I stole your number, but it’s worth it to finally talk to you!
Ilya: Not interested.
Jackie: Sorry? I’m Hayden’s wife! From the league.
Ilya: Yes. I am also sorry, I am not interested. I am very happily taken. You are very beautiful, and your husband does not deserve you or a Cup, but I am no house wrecker.
Jackie: OMG LILY NO!!
Jackie: I heard about you and Shane! I wanted to congratulate you and invite you to dinner!
Ilya: Ah.
Jackie: I’m so sorry for the confusion! I am also happily taken lol. Why the dig at Hayden??
Jackie: Wait…you’re from Boston, right? Please tell me you’re not a Bears fan…

Jackie: PLEASE do! I’ve barely heard anything about you or your relationship with Shane. I’m so curious.

Jackie: Well, you’re one of us now!
Ilya: I do not think so.
Jackie: Shane’s your boyfriend, right?
Ilya: Yes.
Jackie: Then you have no choice.
Jackie: Mostly kidding!
Jackie: But we have a groupchat I’d love to add you to. We mostly complain about the boys and cheer them on, in that order.
Ilya: Sounds tempting.
