Summary
Mike reached out his hand to move the hair away from his eyes.
At his briefest touch, the boy gasps. His eyes opened wide with fear, and he grabbed Mike’s wrist, his grip tight and cold as ice. The boy starts to panic, unaware of his surroundings, until his eyes find Mike’s.
Mike stares into them. They were green and reflected back at him the terror the boy was feeling. Mike had been startled at the sudden movement, but seeing the boy’s panic, he chose to hold his hand in both of his. The boy’s fingers were cold, and Mike tried to warm them between his own.
“It’s okay. You’re safe now.” Mike whispered softly,“My name’s Michael Wheeler. You can call me Mike.”
“Will. Will Byers.”
“I’m watching over you, Will.” He whispered as the boy went to sleep.
When Mike Wheeler is kidnapped by undead pirates, Will Byers teams up with Captain Robin Buckley to save him and bring him home.
