That was something that stuck in his mind. Vincent, all shark-toothed grin, being warm and friendly. Really friendly. He heard the word doll in his mind, ricocheting. Maybe he’d misheard him. He’d gotten kid, but… doll? Maybe he was drunk? No. He realized in the coming, hung-over morning, that Vincent had only drank one singular glass. The rest strewn on the bar were all for him. That tab would’ve been on the expensive end. He had, stuffed in the pocket of his maroon button-up, a telephone number with neat handwriting on it.
