The liminal platform, white, sterile.
Or in other words, an anomaly.
It smells like nothing there, it feels like there’s nothing there…
Like no one’s meant to exist there.
But feelings are feelings for a reason, for that observation is incorrect.
There is something here—not one thing, technically, many things. Two white vending machines devoid of numbers, a single water fountain, and an equally sterile bathroom.
Nowhere comfortable to sleep, or entertainment to stimulate the human mind.
And you bet no one talks about when the bathrooms lock for hours on end—when the lights go out and leave everything in muddy darkness—or when the vending machines run out...
Because that’s not the real question is it?
