    “I’d like that,” He whispers, his voice weak and fragile. He winces, like breathing was even too painful.

    Mike's head hits the desk hard as he lets out a groan of anguish. He had just sealed the final letter, his fingers twitching from the effort of writing.

    “I'm sorry,” He whispers to nobody. His eyes travel across the room, where they settle on Will's painting. “I'll see you soon.”
