Summary
Yolanda Garcia can count the number of patients she’s lost on two hands.
It isn’t something she brags about- lest she tempt a cosmic balance she has little credence in, anyway- but she is proud of it.
Patients die around her, of course. Recovery can be a bitch for an already-weakened body, with post-op infections and dormant genetic anomalies claiming their fair share. Some of her consults don’t make it to the elevator.
Death happens everywhere except the one place she tries her hardest to keep it out:
