Summary
A young golden doe named Lucifer has never known life outside the safety of his herd—until the day they vanish and left him behind.
Wounded and hunted by a relentless man and his dogs in an unfamiliar forest, Lucifer is forced to survive on instincts he was never taught. Soon discovering the hunter isn’t the only thing stalking the woods. Something else watches from the trees. Silent, smiling, and far more interested in the abandoned deer than the hunt itself.
