   Summary

   Just because the war is over doesn't mean that his ghosts are gone. Nothing can erase the trail of deaths behind Haymitch Abernathy. Now back in District 12 at the end of it all, people are rebuilding their lives. Everyone has lost a lot, him notwithstanding. So why does it feel like he is still stuck in the past?

   When Peeta and Katniss bring him some news from the slowly-recovering town, he must confront his grief head-on. And it doesn't hurt to have an old friend there to grieve with him.
