Zuko had the scrawny prison guard over and on his back in an instant. His fist curled above his head, igniting itself in flames as he landed on top of him, lips pulled back in a scowl. "Not this time, you piece of shit."
"Whoa, wait wait wait wait! Stop! It's me!" The guard heaved. Dark tan hands peeled off the helmet. Beneath it was an impossible face, and one that he remembered had nestled against his arm ten months ago. Zuko's breath sucked in fast and dryly.
"Yeah," Sokka huffed, a soft smile slowly curling onto his lips as Zuko's fire died in shock. "You're okay now. It's just me."
The time he has spent in the cooler must have been playing tricks on him now. "How... Wh— what?"
"Katara is here too." Like that made everything so much better. "We're rescuing our dad and Suki. And I am rescuing you."
