Summary
Rapid rustling and sharp snapping of branches roused Leona from his shallow slumber. His tail flicked rather annoyed as the lion himself spread his mouth wide in a drawn-out yawn. His ear twitched, pinpointing the disturbance: it was moving away from him. Perfect. He stretched himself tall, grunting as he slowly unwinded and turned onto his side. Since he was awake, might as well switch into a new position. Closing his eyes, his breathing quickly grew shallow as he drew nearer to dozing. Until the sharp metallic smell of blood hit his nose.
