Severus and the Snape family pet, a snake named William Snakespeare, unite over only one thing.

Snape and his pet actively hate one another, but hate everyone else even more.

Work Text:

William Snakespeare is in a panel with the caption [flicks tongue in an unusual rhythm]. Severus looks at him curiously, and figures out that it is Morse code reading YOU ARE A WANKER. Severus responds to this with: What sick pleasure do you derive from this, worm?

Severus is holding William and saying: William, she has been gone for five minutes. Can you not behave like a— Severus is then interrupted by Lupin in the next panel saying good morning cheerfully. While William hisses, Severus turns to Lupin and says: Your very presence has made this morning dreadful, Lupin. Look, you've even gone and upset Mr. Snakespeare.
