   Summary

   BASED ON THE MOVIE NOT THE BOOK

   Peter Mcvries wants to make a drastic change to his life as he comes across an advert for a farm house in Pownal, Maine. He meets Ray Garraty, the son of his new landlord, a weirdly interesting and extreme anti-government anti-capitalism woke-warrior homebody country boy who really loves scary films on VHS and angry music and hasn't got any real life experience except the arguments he's had online. The two unexpectedly find the friendship they've both been looking for all their life, and make up any excuse to hang out with each other and fuck about. However, behind that blossoming friendship, Pete has a big fat crush on the guy he spends most of his days with, making the relaxing countryside life he'd been trying to curate just a little bit harder to navigate.

    

   No real time period this is set in but it’s between 2006-08 btw. Not much internet, no social media, just the good old days (I wasn’t even conscious then).
