Summary
Then, the crackle of a fire finally interrupts the sounds of whipping winds. Phantom breathes a sigh of relief and looks over to Hornet, who sets the flintslate down beside the campfire they managed to start with dried moss and kelp, kept from spreading beyond with a circle of stones.
The warmth from it immediately seeps into their shell, especially as Hornet drops more kindling into the flame to keep it going, ensuring the blaze she started would not die out the instant another gale pushes into their little cavern.
“I hope the tent will hold,” they murmur as she turns to face them.
