Chapter Text
Every story has it's start. Whether it be a first breath, or heartbreak, or belief. Every tale must begin somewhere.
This one, however, starts with an end.
Washington State, Seattle, sometime around 21:30. It was the 27th of March, 201X
Our main character, []O∆ק is seen walking down a street, black headphones hidden by their black hair, leaving a work party too early.
Penelope, her blonde hair bouncing at her sides, her green painted nails just starting to chip, leaving a work party way too late.
Ahmed, his loose trousers flapping against his ankles, leaving the mosque quite late after helping clean up after Iftar.
Lincoln, staring down at his phone at full brightness, leaving the library just before closing, researching the effect of AI on the earth.
Vera, looking around in somewhat awe at the buildings of Seattle, a tourist and computer scientist from Russia coming to work with a large computing company over seas.
They all walked down the same five pronged fork road, meeting in the middle on their individual streets and stopping momentarily to look up at the other people. Ahmed, Vera and Penelope all smiled at one another. Lincoln and ∆•[][]∆ simply nodding in recognition.
Then it ended. O∆§×[] didn't feel it, or see or hear it, but they knew. They knew it was the end, from the sudden darkness not before a pop of light. The world had ended, it had exploded, in a blink of an eye. But they didn't mind. §×√∆O felt fulfilled with their life, in a way.
If only they all knew, death was the happy ending.
Soon, they would wake up.
