Chapter Text
Iida woke up bright and early. He was…exhausted. No longer having as much will to jump out of bed and start his day like he did in the beginning of the year. But, no matter. He’ll bounce back once he finishes up in the bathroom.
After finishing his bathroom routine
Iida stepped out of the bathroom, his school uniform on, body clean, face washed, teeth brushed, and reeking of citrus. A gift from his brother, Tensei. Orange infused body wash. The smell made him wake up more, and even made him grow quite an appetite. Iida made his way over to his bedside table, getting his glasses which he made sure to clean last night. Then, he grabbed his bag which was on the floor near his desk. Lastly, he slipped on his shoes. Perfect. Now he’s ready for the day.
Iida opened his dorm door, and was immediately met with a smell. “Huh…?” He glanced around before finally look down and was met with a bag. Just sitting at the front of his door. “Uhm…is this…someone’s…?”
Iida did another glance around. There were some people talking in the hall. Someone people were just exiting. Mineta had his nose deep in a magazine with a…vulgar cover.
But no one seemed suspicious. “Hmm…this is interesting.” Just as Iida was about to pick up the bag, a figure appeared behind him.
“Goodmorning Tenya.” A familiar green haired boy greeted him. Iida turned to him and replied just as warmly. “Ah, good morning Midoriya.”
“How are this morning- wait, what’s with the bag?” Izuku wondered. Ah, right. The mysterious bag that was left for him.
“Im not sure,” Iida replied, his attention turned back to the bag. “I found it at my door this morning. I was going to open it, but I feel…slightly uneasy.”
“Hmm…” The freckled boy seemed to think for a while, and just then Ochaco joined the two. “Good morning, Iida-kun. Izuku-kun.”
“Ah, hello Ochaco. You seem in a good mood.” Iida remarked. Ochaco also seemed to be glowing a bit. New face cream perhaps?
“Tsuyu just asked me to hang out this weekend, so I’m excited.” At that, Izuku hummed.
“Ochaco,” Iida interrupted. “Did you leave this at my door?” Iida showcased the bag, which he had held up haphazardly.
“Oh, no. Did someone leave it?” Ochaco asked, to which Iida answered. “Yes. Someone left it infront of my door.”
“What’s inside? Is it something bad?” Ochaco asked next.
“He hasn’t opened it yet.” Izuku cut in, his fingers itching to open it himself.
“Im just concerned about its contents.” Iida admitted.
“Just open it!” Ochaco urged. “Yeah! Open it!” Izuku agreed.
Iida sighed under the pressure. Slowly, his fingers began to unwrap the bag and what was inside was-
A bento box.
“Huh, well that was lame.” Ochaco admitted, to which Izuku sighed a “yeah”.
“Huh…who just leaves bento boxes…and a perfectly good one at that?” Iida questioned, before opening the bento box. Inside? Spicy curry with rice underneath, complete with a container of cut grapes and strawberry halves.
“Huh…”
“Uhm, we should get going. We’ve been here way too late.” Ochaco grabbed the two boys by their backpacks and began dragging them to their class.

When the three finally get to their class, it was well over five minutes after the bell rang.
“You’re late you three.” Their sensei, Shouta Aizawa, said. His voice was monotone and sounded uncaring.
“Apologies sensei, I occupied my classmates and take full responsibility.” Iida bower politely, his body somehow forming a right angle perfectly.
“Just sit down.” Mr.Aizawa pointed and let them claim their seats.
Almost immediately as he sat down, Iida felt as if someone was starting daggers into the back of his head. He was tempted to turn around, but he was already late. He was not about to be off-task as well!
So, Iida ignored the glaring and refocused on his work. Maybe it was nothing. And maybe someone mixed up the dorm rooms with the bento box. Yeah. A harmless mistake.
