    ‘I wonder if Chris’ team survived the storm.’ It occurred to Zeno that there was a very good chance that the room on the cliff side was no longer there. It would be a miracle if it managed to weather the runoff and soil erosion. He hoped they were smart enough to pack up and move before the storm reached the city.

    ‘They’re very good at their jobs. Of course they did.’ He shouldn't worry. It would do him no good in the end. It wasn't like he could do anything to change that fact. They were the opposition to his efforts here. Enemies of the Connections that needed to be avoided at all costs. He fraternized with them enough as is. If they were smart, they would pack up and leave this place permanently.
