Chapter 1: Midnight premiere
Summary:
Grigg discovers something strange at the movies.
Chapter Text
A rounded ovation thundered throughout the theatre as the screen faded to black.
It was the end of the midnight premiere of Doctor Strange, the theatre was cramped as the flurrying bodies rushed out of the doors loudly exclaiming their love for the film. As the last few stragglers wished goodnight Grigg sighed as he shut the door.
He sat down in the empty aisle, tonight was going to be hard work apart from the added stress from dealing with so many customers he had his girlfriend Jocelyn to deal with.
She had been there tonight, though he had been so busy ushering people into different screens, taking food orders and cleaning up the general mess by the time he finished the movie had finished just his luck!
Thankfully as he'd done the hard work earlier and many people had left quickly after the movie he didn't have much clearing up after the film though that hadn't impressed Jocelyn.
"This was supposed to be our night Grigg!" Jocelyn groaned unimpressed.
"I'm sorry." Grigg whimpered he thought things were going well with Jocelyn but over the last few months it had been a strain.
"I've barley seen you this month your obsessed with work."
This was true Grigg enjoyed working at the theatre, aside from the odd obnoxious customer or a busy night like tonight the cinema wasn't over taxing. Hand out the tickets, make the odd hotdog, clean the loos but the amount of people even if they were well meaning had really rattled him tonight.
He did truly mean to join Jocelyn tonight more for the movie than her company.
The film itself was Doctor Strange. Grigg had been an a fan boy for as long as he could remember Batman, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings name a fandom and Grigg was joined by the hip to it but there was one fandom that Grigg truly loved and that was Doctor Strange.
Whilst everyone else obsessed with Iron Man when he was younger he stumbled into the strange fandom when he brought the cartoon movie and boy did Grigg love it. The animation was fantastic and it stuck to the comics which Grigg loved so when he heard Marvel were making a feature length movie about it he couldn't contain his excitement. Seeing Benedict as Doctor Strange in the first trailer firmed up his belief in the movie even more but then there was Kaecilius.
Ah Kaecilius.
He was slightly aware of the character from his old comic books but the updated version had blown him away Mads Mikkelsens strong performance with a dry sense of humour from what he picked up from the trailers. Oh gosh his looks the bright purple brought out his maroon eyes with a twinge of red his hunky body, fabulous costume, long luscious grey hair and high rise cheekbones put Doctor Strange to shame.
Grigg swayed juts thinking about him.
"Hey earth to Grigg, GRIGG!" Jocelyn snapped him back to reality.
"Mmmm...." Grigg didn't even realise he was out of it his face paled as his cheeks turned rosy in shame.
"Right Grigg I'm off!" cried Joeclyn she was already marching out the door, she didn't care if he followed or not.
Grigg sighed continuing to clean the aisle suddenly the lights dimmed as the picture started to play. Dammit Jones left the movie on loop again Grigg thought in annoyance as he was about the leave the theatre he heard the smoothing voice of Kaecilius, he turned round the hypnotic eyes seemed liked they were looking right at him beckoning to sit and watch.
So Grigg did just that.
The rest of the movie was a blur similar to the cartoon movie he deeply loved but Kaecilius of course made this movie stand out.
"Looks like I'm pre ordering this for sure!" Grigg giggled out loud, he loved being in the theatre alone able to shout, scream, cry, laugh whenever he wanted without somebody giving him a disapproving look.
The final battle began it was Strange VS Kaecilius a whirling of karate movies mixed with magic with Mordo in tow. Grigg could feel it the betrayal of Mordo was coming up.
He gripped his seat furiously he felt such pity for Kaecilius the man had lost his wife and son only going into this with Mordo as the last option when the Ancient One had turned her back to him distinguishing all hope of ever reuniting with his family.
Mordo however was in it for the power to become the Acient One himself. He manipulated so many in his wake, charming everyone to slip under the radar before it was too late. His hate and jealously for Strange would however be his downfall Grigg knew that for sure. This charade would not last for long.
Suddenly Kaecilius eyes burned bright and all was revelled.
Kaecilius collapsed like a rag doll as Dormammu was free from his possession, a feeble pawn in Mordo and Dormammu's sick game it made Grigg cry with anger, Kaecilius felt like he was only doing right by his wife and son heck who could blame him! He didn't deserve this. Strange managed to defeat Dormammu and he scarpered back to the different dimension in defeat he dragged Mordo with him. Good riddance Grigg thought he was relived but no doubt the sequel would bring about their return.
Then the focus turned to Kaecilius blood tricked from his mouth as tears pinpricked his eyes.
"Please god no!" Grigg repeated Strange's words as he begun to hyperventilate.
"Stay with me." Strange said in a grounded tone forcing Grigg to snap out of his shock.
"What...?"Grigg panted but then his focus returned to Kaecilius.
Kaecilius eyes were dead blank yet seemingly staring straight at Grigg. Grigg shuddered instinctively turning around to check behind him when he turned back the screen had turned black.
"Okaaaay creepy." Grigg shivered as he got up and descended down the aisles and up to the projection room. The lights were dim there spooking Grigg out even more, after unplugging all the equipment he was about to exit the room when a figure darted down in the theatre below. Grigg's heart leapt a ghost, a robber, a cannibalistic sociopath he'd truly been watching too many movies. His rational mind scolded him only a customer or Jones had returned to finish off his duties the latter seemed more likely. He trembled as he descended the winding stairs and through the theatre doors.
"Hello." he managed a pitiful squeak. No answer awaited him. He lit his flashlight checking each aisle his heart thumping loudly in his chest as his mind focused on the job yet his heart begged him to run. The stress of the night had truly taken its toll on him. His face burned bright as hot tears swept his eyes.
"God I'm pathetic." he whimpered "Scared of the dark even."
He lost his voice a sudden large hand gripped around his torso pulling him into a much larger chest Grigg muffled in his confused and disorientated state he dropped his flashlight carelessly. The strangers warmth was intoxicating Grigg almost got lost in it until he realised that he was hugging a complete stranger! He pushed the stranger away in sudden distaste.
"I'm so sorry, god this is really embarrassing. My evening well it hasn't been great... let me apologise." Grigg stammered on he saw white dots hover in his vision in the pitch black room great he was faint and with a customer in the room he couldn't embarrass himself any more.
"Please" he gasped leaning against the wall for support "Could you help me turn on the lights they are just by the doorway" Grigg gestured his fingers to glowing light from underneath the theatre doors.
"I'm afraid I feel a bit under the weather." The light burst on suddenly with dizzying effect the screen also shone with a bright white light
"What the...?"Now Grigg was really confused no ways was this a customer this was Jones playing one of his dumb pranks!
"For Gods sake Jones I've had enough of your..."Grigg chocked mid sentence there before him was a man but it certainly wasn't Jones. Unless Jones suddenly aged by about 10 years, grown some silver locks and decided that bright yellow was the fashion of the day.
No way it could be Kaecilius, Grigg laughed now you've really gone right round the bend as his farther would say.
Grigg didn't even realise that the stranger was slowly approaching him, his vision began to fade he rubbed his eyes in uncertainly as the black and white dots overpowered his vision leaving him in total darkness once more.

Chapter Text
A bolt shot past his head, Grigg swung round in a daze. Just a second ago he was in the theatre now he was in what looked like the Doctor Strange film.
"No fricking way!" Grigg squealed.
Now your average Joe would be screaming at the top of their lungs right now in a situation like this but Grigg was screaming for a very different reason. He was in Doctor Strange! He jumped around in delight with a new bound energy that just wouldn't let him go as he ran round the city like a mad man. Grigg was used to this, his imagination had always been a bit over the top as his Dad had put it. Dreams were the best thing in his life and tonight was a great one.
"Omg Avengers tower!"
"The Shield base of operations ack awesome."
"Wait is that Wayne towers cool!"
Griggs excitement was overloading him like crazy. This whatever this was, was amazing. All of Griggs wildest dreams felt as though they were coming true and this new energy inside enveloped him. A crackle of thunder brought Grigg back out of his state, he looked up towards the sky which had altered from bright blue to a dark jasmine.
"Grigg" the voice echoed as wisps of silver light shot out of the sky towards him.
Grigg shuddered in shock this wasn't like his normal dreams.
"Grigg!" the voice was more demanding now, tone strong and firm.
The world around Grigg started to blur, the buildings bent as the streets melted away. The cityscape turned in on itself, transforming into blurry a kaleidoscope of grey. Grigg fell to his knees in panic as he did so the ground beneath him disappeared. He felt the sudden drop painfully reminded of that fall many years ago. Trying not to panic he tried in desperation to grab onto something, anything, without avail. His surroundings began to darken as the blotchy sky married into the grey bleakness's of the city scape creating a ugly dark mess. Eventually that's all Grigg could see for miles. As the speed of the fall increased Grigg begged for the voice to come back he wanted to be grounded, he felt himself slipping away anything was better than this. Grigg squeezed his eyes and when he reopened them he felt the darkness creep in from the corners of his eyes and he accepted it gratefully until all he could see was the dark.
"Come back to me Grigg."
"MMMmmm...." Grigg squeaked he was half asleep he could hear someone calling his name but he felt so tired he refused to respond.
" Come on time to get up." The stranger suddenly appeared in view, Grigg felt the stranger tugging open his eyes Grigg gazed upwards to find a blurry figure of Kaecilius.
"I was hoping that would help you but it seems I may have done more harm than good." Kaecilius mused as he looked down at Grigg.
Grigg snorted he could say that again, he thought he had gotten over that memory now it all came flooding back to him. Had he truly gone mad perhaps it was best if he ignored this man no way was it Kaecilius just a fragment of his imagination, he was tired his head was pounding, his limbs were heavy. No doubt he'd have to start work again in a couple of hours and gosh he could just curl up and die.
"Grigg" Kaecilius snapped at him "Someone is coming." Grigg looked up he heard a loud laugh from beyond the door. Oh god no it was Jones. Griggs heart began to race this means he had slept throughout the night in the theatre not to mention he was having crazy hallucinations. Grigg attempted to slowly push himself up and out of Kaecilius arms as Jones burst into the room.
"GOOD MORNING" Jones sung as he bounced into the room. Grigg involuntary leaned into Kaecilius no way he couldn't be bothered dealing with this right now.
"Oh hiya geeky Grigg and hello who's this!" Jones exclaimed in his sing song tone.
"Wait what?" Grigg felt his blood boil of course Jones knew who 'Kaecilius' was it was Jones prank, he knew how much Grigg loved Doctor Strange so he hired one of his buddies to mess around with him.
"Not funny Jones." Grigg muttered but as he turned around he was greeted by a strange sight who stood behind him was no longer Kaecilius, in his place stood a very different man. Gone was the bright citrus costume now replaced with a sharp long black jacket with matching smart shoes and trousers with a very inviting looking yellow jumper tucked inside. Sliver grey trickled down to his neckline no longer held back in a pony tale accompanied with a free flowing fringe. His faced still aged lacked the bright purple cracks which Grigg loved, instead his face was tanned yet his eyes still had that faint tinge of red, wait was he looking at him. Kaecilius gave him a quick wink, he felt his mouth water. If this is all one dream its a bloody good one Grigg thought.
"Hey yo earth to Grigg!" Jones shouted, Grigg felt a light shaking at his shoulder from Kaecilius. Just before Jones could begin his daily shouting match Kaecilius stepped forward.
"I think Griggs had quite enough of that don't you." He said in a stern tone. "Now then I'm taking him home and we will have no more talk about this incident, yes?"
Grigg himself blushed deep red as Kaecilius ushered him past Jones who looked gobsmacked unused to be being bossed about. Kaecilius kept a steady hold around Griggs waist until they reached the parking lot.
"Now can I please have your key's Grigg, I need to take you home."
"I don't have a car." He glanced over at the bike shed "I do have a bike more environmentally friendly you see, I mean well I could afford a car but I...."he mumbled on as such as he staggered over to the bike shed away from Kaecilius grasp. Unsure of the reaction Kaecilius lent out his hand towards Grigg only to be slapped away.
"I get it your Jones mate having a good laugh hardy ha prank the new guy. Now get over your guilt trip and leave me alone." Grigg spat as he clumsily unlocked his bike from the chain. "Now if you would be so kind I am off home." And with that Grigg set off down the road unbeknownst to the protests of Kaecilius.
The way back home felt longer than usual, his limbs heavy and strained thanks to the night before. Grigg mentally noted to take some time off he was well over due anyway. As he cycled along he noticed a small group of people ahead shouting down to the road he barley had time to register they were shouting to him, warning him.
But by then it was too late.

Thank you to all my readers :)

Chapter Text
"Well I think Austen had a sense of pride herself she inflicted that on her characters ."
"Yes but what I'd like to know is how she came up with someone as aloof as Darcy?"
"Well that could be....."
Grigg registered the voices. It was his book club. Bernadette, Prudie , Sylvia, Allegra, Jocelyn. Grigg felt the himself relaxing the book club was one of the highlights of his month. After they finished the Austen novels they continued the club with various other reads including some of Griggs sci fi novels. It seems now they were delving back into Austen once more.
"Oh look he's stirring" Allegra exclaimed.
"Shhhh" Bernadette scolded her "Let him rest." She sensed Griggs discomfort at the sudden turn of attention.
"Right, we shall read aloud one chapter each ladies" she continued thus the commotion was turned away from Grigg, which he was very thankful for. As they read Grigg went back into a relaxed state, the smoothing tale of Pride and Prejudice drifting throughout his ears without a care in the world. Far too soon it ended and the ladies turned to gossip.
"Did you see that dashing man who brought him in?"
"Oh yes what a darling, sign me up."
"Poor Grigg, wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that bloody bus driver, like seriously who just swerves into the cycle lane like that!"
"I heard from the passers by that man jumped into the road to save Grigg"
"What a Gentleman!"
"I know right, shame the poor dear hit his head but I'm sure he'll be well enough to thank him later."
"Yeah well there wont be no later" Jocelyn barked in "He's coming home with me!"
"Gosh Jocelyn" Bernadette chimed in "Calm down we were only saying how charming the man was....."
"Well I don't care and well maybe I don't care that Grigg is here, our relationships been going southwards if you guys haven't noticed!" And with that she stormed out of the room. As the ladies hurried after her Bernadette stayed behind and whispered down to Grigg.
"I'm sure he'll be back my dear he seems very found of you"
Grigg could feel her wink as she left the room questioning why she didn't mention Jocelyn. They were still together right? Surely this wasn't the end of their relationship and he couldn't do a dam thing about it!
He put it to the back of his mind as he went to sleep once more.
Some time later Grigg finally awoke from his dreamless sleep. He opened his eyes blearily and let his eyes wander the room. He was in a small room white hospital room that was for sure, he looked upon him self a plethora of wires entangled on his shirtless chest as a large clear mask breathed oxygen into him. Grigg snorted to himself this reminded him of his favourite TV show Hannibal. Specifically the moment when Will Graham succumbs to his encephalitis and is stricken down.
"Is that's what's wrong with me?" Grigg panicked.
He had been feverish these last couple of days, his muscles ached like hell, his nightmares had come full throttle and heck he was hallucinating crazy magic men.
"I assure you, you do not have encephalitis. Everything you have seen is quite real"
Grigg turned to his side greeted by those same maroon eyes.
"Hannibal" Grigg joked.
Kaecilius laughed a little at that.
"I can see why you think that but I can assure you I am not he."
No he was not Hannibal, Grigg could tell that for sure. The man before him may have an uncanny likeness but there was a softness in those eyes, a sense of righteousness crossed his brows as he leaned forward, features that Hannibal certainly did not possess. Grigg didn't even noticed he was staring until Kaecilius gave him a wink.
Flushing furiously Grigg turning back round.
"Of course your not Hannibal he doesn't have that ridiculous floppy fringe you have."
"Do you not like it? I can change." And with that Kaecilius form shifted, gone was the cute yellow jumper and the sweet fringe now he was truly the spitting imagine of Hannibal. Hair now honey grey swept back into a tight fringe he wore a smart three piece suit with a smug thin smile and a devilish glint in his eye. Grigg backed up he was terrified of Hannibal, Kaecilius picked up on this instantly.
"What's wrong I thought you liked this?"
"What no, no this isn't right, its all out of place." Grigg fisted his hands tightly around his head this was all too odd.
"Well I can fix that."
Grigg felt on odd warm golden tingle spread throughout his body. Slowly opening his eyes once more he noticed Kaecilius had grabbed his shoulder firmly.
"What do you think, do you like it!" Kaecilius jumped like an overexcited Puppy dragging the worn out Grigg to the full length bathroom mirror.
Grigg started gob smacked as he realised what was staring back at him.
"Well that's strange."Grigg mumbled he felt himself fade back as he looked back into Will Grahams eyes.
Notes:
The book club gang are in the house people!
Will and Hannibal reunited kinda ;)
I am also a massive fan of Austen's work myself so this story is going to be very romantic for all my love birds out there;)
And yes Grigg is a Will Graham fan boy!
So this story is going to be a bit of mess with your mind like the film lots of Doctor Strange magic coming up soon!

Chapter Text
"I'm not Will Graham....I'm NOT..."
Grigg thrashed wildly in Kaecilius arms, his eyes drenched with tears as he clawed into Kaecilius arms.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry...sorry.." whispered Kaecilius worry etched into his worn features.
A warmth bloomed over him slow and steady at first eventually deepening down into his very bones. Griggs movements became sluggish his arms draped down to his sides as Kaecilius cuddled him into his chest.
"Ah" Grigg relaxed a warm blue haze covered his abnormally bright eyes. "Do that again...please."
Kaecilius smiled down on him "No can do cant overdo it I need you at least some what alert."
"Whatever for...."Grigg sat up feeling more and more alert by the second "Oh god I'm not Will Graham still, am I!" his anxiety beginning to rise once more.
"No no no." Kaecilius quickly leant over to the tables hand mirror. "Here take a look...see."
Grigg gazed towards the mirror no longer was the scruffy face of Will Graham staring back, thankfully it was his clean shaven youthful self.
"Oh thank god for that." Grigg gasped. "And you..."he glanced back towards Kaecilius. "I'm glad your back to normal."
Kaecilius stood back in his gorgeous robes and those sparkling purple eyes towering above Grigg as he helped him off the floor.
"Why thank you. Nobody has ever thought that way about me in this form before." Kaecilius let out a little blush.
"Did you just read my mind!" Grigg stood back in shock.
"Yes its one of the many things I can do" Kaecilius stepped forward. "And I must apologise for distressing you before I thought letting your fantasies become reality was something many dreamed of, well certainly in my dimension anyway."
"No no your right I mean it was a little shocking but to be honest I have just escaped from a bus crash you know thanks to you." Grigg smiled towards Kaecilius "My head is much clearer now and for the record I do like you just as you are so no more Hannibal switching eh!" He gave Kaecilius a cheeky grin as the mans blush deepened was there anything this man couldn't do!
"Well I can't do a couple of spells the Ancient One locked away" Kaecilius mused a sad expression sunk into is face.
Grigg suddenly remembered why, the one spell he ever wanted he couldn't unlock. He couldn't bring them back.
"Please say no more. I understand." Grigg patted him on the shoulder knowingly, oddly comfortable with being this close despite them barley knowing each other. Well at least the touch confirmed his realisation.
"I thought you were a hallucination you know."
"I am well aware." Kaecilius muttered "Your quite skittish you know."
Grigg nervously tapped his feet "Yeah sorry , its just overwhelming you now. Its not everyday a sorcerer from a different dimension you know!" Grigg laughed nervously
"I suppose not but I think you have some catching up to do...yes?"
"You assume correctly Sir" Joked Grigg the gaps in his memory were vast but he could piece it together based on what the Book Club had said.
" I know enough about it to get the idea but I want to know more about you." One particular question dragged on his mind the most.
"You want to know how I got here."
"Yes...yes do tell." Grigg bounced intrigued by the notion patting the space on the bed next to him beckoning Kaecilius down.
"I was dying...."
"Yes."Grigg glanced down sensing his distress from the memory as Kaecilius continued on.
"I was with Strange...I tried to hold on as I felt myself slipping I heard you. I held onto your voice and next thing I knew I was next to you and well you know the story from there."
Grigg leant into Kaecilius mesmerised this was just like his dreams. He'd always imagined what it would be like if characters from our fiction were in fact truly real just waiting to be discovered. His blue met Kaecilius maroon eye's as his purple sparkle reflected in his own eyes so lost they were they didn't even notice the door guide open.
"Excuse me...Mr Harris and WHAT IS THAT...." Grigg swept around the nurse who now stood frozen like a mannequin.
Grigg walked towards though when he moved forward he noticed something odd she was moving but very slowly.
"Wait is this some sort of time trick?" Grigg started in amazement it was just like in the movie! "Wow" he gasped sucked in by the trick.
"We haven't got much time." Kaecilius said quickly grabbing Griggs hand and leading him out of the room, whispering forget to the nurse as she started to descend into a crumpled heap.
"My magic is still weak I cant hold them for very long" he gasped as he led Grigg through the hall way of the hospital as the world around them started to quicken.
"But I can't go outside looking like this" Grigg whined still a thin hospital gown caused him to shiver before he knew it he was back into his sky blue cycling top and tight sports shorts looks like Kaecilius had a preference right here Grigg chucked to himself. As they dashed past reception Kaecilius threw down some papers.
"What are those?" Grigg looked on questionably as the bolted out the door.
"Your discharge papers" Kaecilius replied breathlessly as they reached the first street corner away from the hospital.
Grigg turned back behind the wall what had been a frozen picture in time had now returned to the busy New York bustle it had always been. Grigg was amazed this magic malarkey was too good to be true. Suddenly Grigg felt a harsh tug on his trousers, leaping around he noticed a half conscious Kaecilius barley holding on. He had changed back to his 'normal' disguise now which he had used against Jones and presumably the book club. Thank god for that thought Grigg, who knows what his fellow fans would do if they saw Kaecilius wandering around!
"I didn't want to be too....conspicuous..." Kaecilius whispered leaning into Grigg his head placed firmly on his shoulder as Grigg grabbed him by the waist line.
"Too right." Grigg smiled Kaecilius charm were certainly getting to him.
With a firm grip on Kaecilius Grigg hailed a cab and lead Kaecilius in placing him gently down. He needed Kaecilius out of the publics eye line until he could gather back his strength and there was one place he knew he could do that. He told the cabbie the address confident that his decision was the right one.
Notes:
Okay so I've fallen into the Hannigram prompts trap, so many I want to write but concentrating on this story first before the release of the Doctor Strange movie for after it I'll probably be a heart broken wreak if they kill Kaecilius off which I suspects they will ;(
I might do some starter chapters for the other prompts so I wont forget the prompts entirely XDThe time spell was inspired by the new Time TV Spot for Doctor Strange usually I avoid TV spots like the plague but I accidently clicked on this one & tbf it wasn't that spoliery so fair play Marvel ;)

Chapter Text
Kaecilius awoke feeling refreshed. Unsure of his surroundings he reached out guiding his sight around the area. Flashes of a house, a large one at that. The home unused barley even new, unloved but looking for it. Kaecilius smiled his foresight had captured Grigg who was lain down in another of the houses many bedrooms. His memory felt fuzzy since they had left the hospital and he was in need of some answers. He clambered up from his bedroom and crept down the dark hallway to Grigg, opening the door with care as he wandered in.
Sheer beauty lay before him.
The moonlight beat down on Grigg exposing the outline of an angel, he felt star struck, coming closer Kaecilius could see a hint of sparking blue merging around his eyes to fit his own. Kaecilius blinked rapidly. It could not be! He traced his fingers around his own disfigured sockets. In all the dimensions he had ever came across or would ever come across he would never again see such beauty. For a fleeting moment he forgot his pain, his anguish perhaps this was his moment, his new beginning.
His lips hovered over Grigg calculating, questioning all he had known. He had waited long enough. Perhaps the Ancient One had been right all along for one can never truly resolve the past let alone change it....
"Kaecilius..."A howlish whisper freed him from his thoughts.
Kaecilius looked down it certainly wasn't Grigg, his lips still locked. Kaecilius dared not to glance but he felt the inevitable. He twitched his head towards the dark corner a set of white ghoulish irises glared right back. He shuddered trying to hold himself firm.
"Kaecilius how could you forget me?" The creature stood towing upwards in the shadows, its bony black skeleton holding thin rotten flesh as the eyeless sockets with their bright glint threatened to blind him.
"You are not she!" Kaecilius glared at the demon angrily. He finally thought he was free. He had thought wrong.
"No Kaecilius you'll never be free." Its jaws hung threating to fall off at any second.
"That's right" A smaller voice chirped in behind her. "We may never again meet in the flesh, but we will always be in your mind."
Kaecilius sobbed as the ghostly white boy edged closer.
"And who's fault is that my son." The creature turned towards the boy
"My farther." His empty soulless eyes burned right into Kaecilius heart.
"Your not real....your an illusion..." Kaecilius said barley a whisper repeating Strange's words back to himself.
"Not real.....not real.....not real." He wept quietly rocking himself back and forth, tears streaming from his tight eyes, he heard the dead whispers knock against his ears like the wind begging for it to end.
"Kaecilius..." A new voice began to speak. He chose to ignore it.
"Kaecilius come on..."The new voice was kinder than the old ones maybe this one had decided to forgive him.
Carefully he decided to peel his eyes open bright blue met his maroon.
"Grigg." He sighed a flood of relief washed over him
Grigg laughed gently. "I was worried about you for a second there."
No longer did the demons that shrouded his past lay before him only the present. He glared at Grigg blankly, the blue shadow that had once matched Kaecilius own had now faded a well of shame and disappointment lay heavy on him. Perhaps his past had truly wrecked the path for his future.
Suddenly he felt himself in a tight embrace, his head buried deeply in Griggs chest. He felt his body shake uncontrollably against Grigg holding onto his smoothing words of comfort like an anchor as he was lead into bed. Kaecilius jolted fearful of the intrusion he felt he was creating. Grigg had gotten up switching on the bedroom lights tightly closing the door after himself.
"Is that better?" He said smiling towards Kaecilius as he turned on the on suite light allowing no darkness to even stay in the room. Kaecilius nodded frantically at lost for words. It had been a long time since any one had ever been this kind to him, not since her. He stiffened as Grigg lifted the bed sheets to join in him.
"Its alright Kaecilius" Grigg said laying Kaecilius down with one steady hand. "Its okay.... I understand. I'll keep your nightmares at bay." gesturing a little wink towards him. Kaecilius blushed deeply scooting deeper beneath the sheet in a vain attempt to hide his face.
"Oh god I'm sorry Kaecilius."Grigg jumped suddenly from the bed. "I just thought it'd help me being here.... oh but... no sorry not in the same bed, no that's awkward, you just needed the lights right?"
Grigg shot up to the door ready to finish his nights sleep in another room until he heard a faint whimper. He turned around and saw Kaecilius rackling under the sheets unable to control his sobs once more. Grigg nervously turned around unsure of himself. He knelt down to Kaecilius side pulling back the covers just enough to see his head. He stared deeply into his eyes.
"Kaecilius would you like me to stay in here tonight and are you comfortable with that?" Kaecilius head nodded franticly, the tears already beginning to slow.
"Very good." Grigg said cherfully as he pulled back the covers once more. Snuggled near Kaecilius radiating warmth he felt his consciousness fade like a candle in the wind even before he had the chance to bid goodnight.

Chapter Text
"Come on the coffee shop is this way!" Grigg clung to Kaecilius.
The sweet October air felt crisp against his face, the bright orange shopping district blared jingled tunes as he maneuvered them through the busy crowds.
It had been a while since Grigg had come into town, he was always so busy at the theatre he just didn't have time to just relax anymore.
After hastily calling work who had already put him on a weeks sick leave due to the crash *thank god Jones did something right* he now had the time for it.
He knew that Kaecilius needed this too, especially after last night which he was still avoided talking about. When he had woken up Kaecilius was already up and about, acting as though nothing happened. And if he wanted it that way Grigg wouldn't push him, the man had been through enough.
Grigg felt positive he would do everything in his power to make this day a good one for him.
"We're here!" he beamed to Kaecilius as they turned the tight corner.
He ran into the Chesapeake, his favourite coffee shop since he had arrived in New York. It was tightly tucked away right on the street corner. A wide open window placed the whole interior on display for the world to see, its oak furnishings gave it a classy look in comparison to the cold drudge surrounding it. As he entered he was greeted by bright pumpkin lamps and a whole assortment of other wacky Halloween decorations, the fine wooden floorboards held a white sheen reflecting the matching chairs and tables layered with pastel yellow and pink flowers.
He strode to the tall oak counter with confidence upon seeing his best friend there.
"Hi Jacob!"
The middle aged Danish barista turned to greet him his long golden brunette bangs flashed against his face
"Hi Grigg!" Jacob waved back smiling beckoning him to the till.
"Your usual?"
"Yes please." Grigg said "And one espresso for my friend here."
"Ah hello." Jacob eyed up over the counter greeted by Kaecilius darkening eyes.
"You look just like my Dad." Jacob joked.
Kaecilius eyes crossed in confusion though the young man did certainly look like him...could it be...could he have survived? With no further hesitation he leapt right over the counter pulling the shocked Jacob into a tight embrace.
"Kaecilius.....Kaecilius!"Grigg shouted pulling the elder off Jacob. Thankful of the empty café.
"Kaecilius look at me." Swinging the over excitable man around.
"He's not your son! His parents live in Denmark." Kaecilius backed away tears beginning to well at his eyes.
"Wait...wait I'm sorry I understand your still upset lets get you sat down." Grigg lead him down to a shrouded table in the corner. Grigg walked up to his shaken friend.
"Make it a double." He instructed Jacob. "He needs it." he whispered gazing at Kaecilius. "Trust me...."
Kaecilius sipped the strong drink he felt relaxed as the warm afternoon sun beamed through. The sunlight on his face was a thing of beauty Grigg wondered.
"So he really is Kaecilius like wow..." Jacob cupped into Griggs ear bringing him out of his haze.
"Yes really I cant believe it myself!" Grigg replied back. It had been a long afternoon he decided to confide in his best friend and tell him the whole story.
"Its a fantastical story Grigg, it truly is, I want to believe you but that guy he doesn't look like Kaecilius or what about his powers?"
"Let me show you then." Grigg and Jacob approached Kaecilius table.
Kaecilius seemed to have calmed down by now but he stiffened up when the men approached.
"Hey..hey." Grigg placed a reassuring hand to his shoulder.
"You've already met Jacob." as his friend shuffled forward.
"Sorry about before." Jacobs said awkwardly fiddling with his hands. "It was a joke...."
"That's quite alright." Kaecilius sighed eyes never moving from the cup.
"Can you show him some of your power?" Grigg inquired, Kaecilius looked up startled his secret was out....
"Its okay." Grigg leaned forward.
"We need people on our side." indicating to Jacob.
"We can trust him......."
Griggs words melted onto to Kaecilius heart, he raised his hands.
"Keep your eyes on the cup." The two men were transfixed as translucent crystals beginning to beam around the cup shaking it rapidly.
"Now hold out your hands." he instructed to Jacob suddenly the crystals formed around Jacobs hands and within a fraction of a second there was the cup!
"Wow....you really are him!" Jacob beamed as he held the cup in his unsteady hands.
Confident his trick was met by Griggs friend with much praise he shifted back into his natural form causing more excitable gasps from the fanboys. He truly felt more powerful when he was adored. And any friend as Griggs was a friend of his, it was a delight to see them both so pleased.
"JACOB!" a new voice burst into the room only to be followed by a loud crash against the wooden floor.

Chapter Text
"LUKE!" Jacob screamed running as the body lay unceremoniously over the floor.
Blood trickled down Luke's forehead as he unconsciously leant into Jacobs arms. Grigg quickly joined Jacobs side checking for signs of head trauma. Breathing a sigh of relief he smiled.
"He's fine Jacob, just knocked out cold."
"He'll be fine..." he sighed squeezing Jacob into a reassuring tight hug. Jacobs grip on Luke never faulted.
"Kaecilius can you help?" Grigg looked up scanning his eyes around the now darkening café.
"Crap...."
Kaecilius was nowhere to been seen.
"Jesus Christ Luke so bloody heavy." Grigg puffed as he and Jacob dragged the unresponsive Luke his arms tightly gripped around their shoulders. Jacob did try to be the hero, first trying a bridal style lift for the first half a mile only to tire out for exhaustion. Begrudgingly he agreed to divide the deadweight between himself and Grigg thankfully the streets lay empty on the way back to Jacobs apartment.
As they burst into the apartment they almost all dropped to the floor.
"I am never doing that again." Jacob moaned. "They make it look so easy in the movies."
"Hey come on Hannibal carried Will for 30 hours back to wolf trap, we'll survive." Grigg groaned back.
Dumping Luke onto the large chaise lounge the two fanboys crashed to floor.
"What do we do....oh god....what do we do..." Jacob chanted earnestly hoping his little prayer would set everything right.
"Its kay Jacob. Honestly Luke will be fine." Grigg shook his friend out of his trance. "More importantly we need to find Kaecilius!"
"He didn't mean it." He noted sadly as Jacob nodded on in agreement.
Grigg was worried Kaecilius had disappeared right after Luke's collapse, which he probably caused probably in fear rather than ill intent.
"I have to find Kaecilius." He announced rising from the woollen carpet heading towards the door.
"Wait....wait.." Jacob jumped up unsure of wherever to help his friend or stay with Luke.
"Stay with lover boy." Grigg winked as he headed out the door
"What? I don't know what your talking about!" Jacob quickly turned hiding his blush.
"Please." Grigg giggled "Everyone knows.... you'll never know his answer if you don't ask."
"Yeah and will you like your answer!" Jacob shouted in frustration as Grigg high tailed it down the blocks stairs.

Chapter Text
"Kaecilius......KAECILIUS!" Griggs shouts became louder and more desperate as the night wore on. Inky blackness blotched the sky with only the dim street lamps as a vague guide Grigg wondered on.
The wet cold thunder offered no comfort to any outsider, cruel tuts by passers by sunk in, his foolishness for going out in such weather dressed as he was. Probably think I am a drunk he grumbled internally as he trudged on feeling as though the very streets were circling in on himself.
Grigg glanced at his watch it was almost 2am! He felt the eyes roll back against his head. Logically he should of turned back ages ago, let Kaecilius deal with himself, he was a fully grown man capable of looking after himself. But something pulled at him, persuading him to continue forward to find him. Turning on one of the last outskirts he saw him.
"Thank god..." Grigg said abit a little too loud.
Kaecilius turned round from his sulking spot at the bus shelter, his face was truly grim. Grigg waved off his own feelings of unease, pleased to find that Kaecilius didn't bolt when he sat down next to him. They both sat in silent until Grigg spoke.
"I know you didn't mean to hurt Luke you know?" Grigg shuffled closer to the man as he spoke each sentence slower than the last.
"You were scared you know, everyone gets a bit defensive like that when their scared. Me and Jacob understand it, you just shocked us for a minute and you scared us for a little while...."
Kaecilius looked down at him the fear and shame never left his eyes. Grigg stared right back determined to cease it.
"You scared us not because of what you did, its how you reacted. Running off like that you didn't even help Luke get back up and trust me, me and Jacob weren't exactly built to carry round bodies unlike you.."
He let a small laugh responded by a slightly forced grin by Kaecilius.
"That's better." Grigg huffed "You look much better when you smile." The smile in response was far more genuine this time.
"As do you." Kaecilius replied his confident vigour already returning.
Things were already getting better Grigg could feel it. It was like his Dad always used to say that honesty was the best policy. Being straight on especially with someone as fragile as Kaecilius was far better than spindling lies and half truths that Kaecilius had been fed for most of his life thus far.
This was a new start for Kaecilius maybe this is why he was sent here but why to Grigg...
He felt his cheeks warm he thought back to Jacobs words would he like his answer?
He certainly had feelings for Kaecilius before seeing the movie but if he was completely honest it was the looks and voice that got him at first, he never truly knew the character until now. Could it be love? Maybe?
Grigg had gone down this path before he was always too quick to please, he flashed back to Jocelyn. Despite her clear lack of interest at the start he kept pushing, too stuck in love to pull himself out. A love that had slowly been starting to die out.....
"Grigg are you awake?"
Grigg jolted out of his day dream unaware he had even closed his eyes. Kaecilius warm hand cupped his face as he felt a deep heat burn through his body.
"You have a fever..." Kaecilius mutter as he stripped himself of his own coat laying it gently over Grigg.
Grigg shivered he should have known better what a bloody stupid idea to go outside in weather like this with nothing but t-shirt and shorts, he felt ridiculous as the rain soaked clothes clasped to his body.
"You did it with good reason." Kaecilius mentally replied, of course telepathy thought Grigg he was onto him.
"That's right and you wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my...sulk....A trance which I am very grateful you brought me out of." Kaecilius continued as he gathered the weakening Grigg into his arms.
"Pffft knew you were good at carrying bodies." Grigg mumbled pushing himself into Kaecilius chest.
"Only the bodies I like." Kaecilius winked causing a deeper blush than any fever could muster from Grigg.
As Kaecilius clambered from under the shelter Grigg mentally prepared himself for the onslaught of heavy wind and rain but it never came. He looked around in awe, himself and Kaecilius wherein a light translucent bubble shielding them both from the harsh weather. Grigg suddenly was aware of Kaecilius plan.
"Wait...wait... Kaecilius!" Grigg tightly tugged at the older mans sleeve.
Kaecilius nodded down stopping at an abrupt halt "Yes?"
"Your not carrying me all the way back home are you?"
"Of course it only seems customary as you and Jacob did so for your friend."
Grigg shook his head disapprovingly, freeing himself from Kaecilius grip.
"No Kaecilius we only did that out of necessity there was no other way, we had no money for a taxi and the buses had all stopped! Me and you can just grab a taxi." He jangled his money pouch luckily he had left his wallet at Jacobs before his trip out with Kaecilius thankfully he had least had some security now he had it back.
"Anyway it would take you hours to get back to mine not to mention it will be an hour back by taxi...." he sighed already in a grump over the prospect of such a long and expensive journey.
"That's quite alright." Kaecilius had a mischievous grin plastered on his face. White pale crystals began to form in front of them distorting the path in before them.
Realisation hit Grigg hard.
"I'm not going through that Kaecilius!" The pathway looked unsteady and disjointed the very ground beneath him was shaking like some sort of sick fair ground ride.
"No no no..." Grigg shut his eyes tightly as he felt the ground lower almost into a free fall his nightmares already beginning to resurface until a large arm gripped firmly around his waist.
"Hold on tight." Kaecilius voice echoed around his head as he felt himself being leapt through the mock shard glass towers before him. The bright light was too overwhelming even torturing him through his closed eyes. Thankfully black started to seep in mudding the white, dulling his senses he felt himself being dragged down deeper into the calming bliss. Just before he lost all though he heard Kaecilius whisper.
"I see all......."

Chapter Text
The Softness surrounded him an absolute luxury, Grigg delved deeper into it with a decisive hum. He rubbed his cheek widely against the source he felt himself drooling with content.
"Humph.."A loud shake both physically and verbally shook him out of his dream like state.
"Dam.." Kaecilius continued as he attempted to lean the already startled Grigg back into his chest.
"Oh I'm so sorry Kaecilius..." Grigg grimaced at his own the mess he'd made on the others fluffy yellow jumper.
He must have fallen asleep during the dam film. Rolling his eyes Grigg wished he had just gone straight to bed once they had arrived back but in his haze he must have just dumped himself on the couch. Still didn't explain why Kaecilius was there but then again why not , who could resist leaning into that cute little jumper.
"Not a problem." Kaecilius countered and with a simple flick of the wrist the stain had disappeared.
"Wow." Grigg muttered amazed by the sheer domesticity of his powers. Now that would be useful around the house and Jacobs apartment was in dire need of a tidy up heck from this to portal jumping he had quite the range!
"Would you like to sit back down."
Grigg looked down at Kaecilius he didn't even realise that he'd been standing up this entire time like the dork he was. Awkwardly he shuffled back next to Kaecilius on the couch back straight and alert.
"You can come closer you know...." Kaecilius purred leaning into Grigg trying to make eye contact.
Grigg twitched in his place he wasn't sure what to do. He'd love nothing more than to lean right into Kaecilius and curl up like some old married couple but she entered his mind.
"Jocelyn..." Grigg muttered rushing out of the room without another word to Kaecilius bursting up the flights of stairs until he finally arrived at the master bedroom slamming the door with a threatening crack.
"Stupid....stupid idiot!"Grigg fisted his hands into his hair, nails threatening to draw blood curling himself up into a corner.
He was scum, right down bloody trash. Jocelyn was his girlfriend for gods sake and he hadn't even spoken to her since before the accident. Gone from the hospital without a word this was exactly what Jocelyn had been talking about on the issue of trust and to be honest from Griggs side he'd been lacking. He'd given more attention to Kaecilius than he had Jocelyn. Pacing the room he called logic from his irrational mind though he did have a undeniable passion for Kaecilius their relationship was simply not viable. He and Jacob had discussed it earlier.
**Earlier that day**
"I don't understand why are you still looking for him its 1am in the flaming morning Grigg go home!" Jacobs voice rang through the phone.
Grigg was still looking for Kaecilius his heart pounding feverishly in the rain.
"I'm going to find him weaver you like it or not." Silence greeted him.
"You'd do it for Luke!" He screamed down the phone oblivious to the discomfort from passers by.
"But he isn't like my Luke is he Grigg? Luke and I we have....potential, you and Jocelyn heck fix up a few patches and your raring to go. But Kaecilius....come on now Grigg think about it have you even thought that maybe he wants to go home?"
That thought hadn't even crossed Griggs mind.
"He's not from our world you know like he is a bad guy well you know not entirely like sicko evil but still he was willing to rip the world apart just for his wife and kid. Now that's crazy passion. Not the good crazy either! Besides doesn't he still love them."
Grigg continued in his unbroken silence.
"Grigg I think he may of only come here god knows how just to get them back. Not go on some whirl wind romantic fantasy that you day dreamed for yourself."
He felt the tears trickle down his face. Trust Jacob to be his voice of reason......
His own sobs came hot and heavy rackling his body as the wind and rain threatened to blow him away.
"Grigg are you alright?" Jacobs tone had edged down feeling the guilt sweep up from his rant.
"Goodnight Jacob..." Grigg quickly ended the call attempting to compose himself as the tears mixed into the rain running down the unforgiving streets still calling for Kaecilius.
*Back to the present*
Griggs mind raced quickly grabbing his phone.
No calls or texts from Jacob.
Great another relationship he fucked up he'd definitely have to apologise in person for this. Grigg swept through his emails on his old desktop computer calming his mind, he looked through the various software companies developers queries and answering to their calls. Eventually he hit and email which defiantly took him by surprise.
It was from Jocelyn.
It was weird they hadn't emailed each other since the Book-club well not since Grigg brought her, her own mobile phone so this was unusual to say the least. Quickly scanning and answering the email without delay. Grigg trudged over to the large bed collapsing face first crying himself to sleep dreading the next day.
Notes:
The wife and Jocelyn are going to become bigger pulling points of the story cant just have our two guys running off into the sunset like they didn't exist relationships have consequences.
So prepare for angst & hard choices on both ends.
I still have another Mads & Hugh character to introduce this Mads character has never had an Ao3 written about him which is a surprise especially in the Hannibal fandom considering who he is! More notes on him when he's introduced!
Chapter 10: Breaking Up

Chapter Text
"Goodbye Grigg." Jocelyn extended out her hand a vague attempt at peace between them. Grigg refused folding his arms, head held high.
"Suit yourself...."She muttered stumbling out of the door never to be seen again.
Grigg felt the tears well up in his eye's collapsing down in his chair his hands covering the shame.
"Great I'll take it from here." Grigg heard Jacob enter and take over his duties breathing in a shaky breath he wasn't sure he could handle any more bad luck today. Loud footsteps approached him Grigg felt himself tense up ready for the next loud onslaught but it never came.
"Hi Grigg." Jacob couched down placing a freshly made pumpkin latte in front of him. Grigg brought his hands down in defeat.
"Oh Grigg I'm so sorry." Jacob had seen and had that look many times. Before he could ask for the cause Grigg had already thrown himself onto him in a heap, his loud sobs rackling through out his body. Though Jacob had intended to give Grigg a peace of his mind for that little bitch rant down the phone it felt petty in comparison to whatever had happened to Grigg now. He had seen Jocelyn walk out the door and into the arms of another man, it wasn't that hard to piece together what had happened. But it felt there was more to it than that. Jacob couldn't help but feel that this all had something to do with Kaecilius at the end of the day.
"I think you need to have the day off." One of his employee's whispered next to him.
"I think you might be right." Jacob replied guiding Grigg up to a standing position walking with him towards the door way heading back home.
Arms and legs crossed to their tightest the gold luminous rings held his contorted body tightly in place as Kaecilius raised his hands straight into the air. Shadows crept from the corners of the room a purple mist began to haze across the carpet engulfing him into a crystalized prison. Kaecilius eye's shot open all around him the many mirrors reflected back at him he reached further he felt the dark dimensions power beaming through. If the Ancient One could do it why couldn't he.
"Show me..." He begged his voice barley a whisper. The next moment he opened his eye's, the beautiful site once again greeted him, Grigg stood light blue linen robes graced his body his features intensified by the great white light. His eye's pooled blue like never around them midnight stardust entrapped his eyes with the same matching cracks that had blessed Kaecilius own eyes.
Coming forward towards the beautiful creature its robes twisted around him pulling him closer the brown locks tickling his face as the ruby lips hovered over his cupids brow.
The creature gazed longingly into his eye's its slender arms tightening around his waist their lips threatening to meet at any moment. Kaecilius closed his eye's in anticipation, but the moment never came. Confused Kaecilius opened his eye's once more only to be greeted by the pitch blackness. He'd seen this too many times before. He felt his heart well up, it was impossible he tried.....he tried so hard to be careful he couldn't have come back!
"Kaecilius." Turning around he saw her again the demon of his dreams Kaecilius attempted to turn and run only to find he was stuck to the spot a flurry on fleshless hands clutching at his feet dragging him down.
"Let me go Dormmamu!" Kaecilius growled "I know you are not she!" He twisted as the hands pulled him deeper down into the mist.
The demon gave a sly grin as it stood back into the shadows its body contorted to an unrecognisable form before melting back into the darkness as quickly as it came.
"Your mine Kaecilius." Dormmamu's voice boomed around him Kaecilius attempted to cover his ears as the rabid hands pulled them down.
"No...no it wasn't our deal!" Kaecilius snapped back confused by Dormmamu's message he had died in the other world how could Dormmamu affect him here.
"You are truly a fool Kaecilius there are many alternate realties for each and every choice. Just so happens I'm playing out a favourite of mine today."
Kaecilius felt his face burn as the hands began to claw at his face it was impossible.
"Did the Ancient One teach you nothing?" Dormmamu laughed clearly mocking Kaecilius as he felt the mist cover his mouth.
What did you do his mind screamed in panic as the mist began to cover his eye's.
"Me and Strange made a deal I'm afraid well afraid for you that is." Dormmamu's sick laughter was all he could recall as the mist finally shrouded his eye's leading him back into a smooth more welcoming darkness.
Notes:
Another chapter now many more to go! I am having an absolute blast writing this story and its turning out much longer than I expected ;)
SPOILER ALERT
Time to talk about the film :P
I wasn't a fan of Kaecilius end basically he jets stuck for eternity as a black glowy eyed zombie thing can there be like an explanation for that..... is he coming back? This has so much potential for Kaecilius to come I hope Marvel develop his character and he is kinda one of Mordo's lackeys in the comic so I hope they team up to take on Strange & possibly Dormmamu now that would be cool!TBH I'd much rather he had an ending like this he see's the destruction around him a child and women are about to get crushed reminding him of his dead wife & child.
Quickly he turns tail but is to late to save them he see's the error of his ways and helps Strange with the time spell turning back time to fix the mess.
I think his death (maybe disintegrated by Dormmamu) would be meaningful and it would send a message to Strange not to use Dark Dimension magic similar to the Ancient One who used it and it came back to haunt her.
I can just see Kaecilius holding out his hand as he disappears a tear in his eye saying Goodbye or some simple line or perhaps no words at all and it would be a precious sad moment like when Coulson or Loki died and Kaecilius character would of had some development and a proper goodbye (he could always be brought back to life!)
Though his positives are he did make Strange question the Ancient One and kinda turn to the bad side by breaking the rules. And lets not forget the ahem entrapment scene I think I'll do a one shot smut fic on that for sure ;)
Mordo was the best character for me he has a great arc, in the cartoon movie which I also highly recommend his turn to darkness is a shock like in the movie you think ah teachers pet then he starts to break the rules and aw yeah all hell breaks lose I can't wait for more Mordo!
Maybe he will be the one to set Kaecilius free from his eternity curse from Dormmamu and maybe they team up with Loki in Ragnarock that would blow my mind :D
Maybe Marvel will notice our Hannibal fandom (thank you Mads & Fannnibals doing a great job so far
Chapter 11: Off to the pictures
Summary:
NEVER watch a film with Kaecilius it will turn out far different than you will have expected.....
Notes:
Cute Halloween fluff, messing around with movies and lots of Kae's magic what's not to like ;)
Red Dragon movie as well ^^
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
A loud banging caused him the jolt from his slumber.
Kaecilius grumbled, the hour was late so many people had been banging at the door tonight.
He could easily tell none of them were Grigg, he could sense that for sure. No these beings had far more hostility, if wrongly approached. Instead he avoided the front of the house all together dimming the lights throughout the mansion seemed to have worked as the devilish things had one look at the house and move on swiftly bringing great relief to him.
Hellish contorted faces reminded him too much of the dark dimension a contrasted world of kaleidoscopes of colour inking out in the long stretching darkness. Creatures that he had never seen before and never wished to see again cursed his mind.
Kaecilius snuggled further under the blanket squeezing his eye's up praying whoever was at the door would leave quickly. His mind was not at its best after the dreams of before.
The loud creak of the door caused his heart to pound from his chest. Quivering Kaecilius stiffened pulling the blanket over his face wishing the person away from his troubled mind.
"Kaecilius?" The bedroom door creaked wide open the porch light glistened over Griggs body.
"My angel." Kaecilius whispered to himself, almost welling up at the very presence of Grigg.
"Hey, hey, hey none of that now." Grigg rushing over to Kaecilius and gathering up into a tight embrace just as Jacob had done for him.
Kaecilius pushed his head deeper into Griggs chest grateful for the comfort, his hands ceased to shake after a while after Grigg lowered down next to him, tight under the sheets. They lay there for a while the silence was all they needed. Just to be in each others company was far more satisfying than any words that needed to be spoken. Grigg felt the need to speak up first.
"So do you want to watch a movie?" Grigg felt the beads of sweat running from his forehead. He needed a nice distraction over Jocelyn and though Jacob had provided some comfort Kaecilius was the one he truly wanted to embrace.
"Okay.." Kaecilius mumbled stiffly something was clearly plaguing him but Grigg didn't have the guts to ask.
"I'll be back in a sec!" Grigg smiled already missing the warmth of his spot as he sped down the stairs marching into the kitchen, gathering up the coloured confectionary and drinks on a bright tray presenting them gently in front of Kaecilius lap.
"Of course!" Kaecilius smacked his forehead. "Halloween!" He felt like such an idiot.
"What did you think it was the apocalypse or something" Grigg burst out with laughter as he stuffed an unsavoury marshmallow ghost into his mouth.
Kaecilius eye's darted as he attempted to steer off the subject not wishing to be reminded of events before.
"What film do you have for us Grigg?" Kaecilius managed to mumble out a quiver in his voice.
"Red Dragon.... Hopkins is great in this one......."munched Grigg as he fiddled with the remote flashing it furiously at the large flat screen hovering at the bed rest.
"Ha more Hannibal eh Grigg!" Kaecilius chuckled his mood lightening.
"Yeah whatever I know you enjoy it as much as I do!" Grigg joined his laughter as he snuggled into Kaecilius chest, the man's strong arm wrapped thickly around him.
Fuck Jocelyn Grigg thought more focused of Kaecilius face than the actual movie.
"Grigg.." Kaecilius stoic voice shook through his bones. "Are you not enjoying the movie?"
"No no no I um just kinda..." Remember what Jacob said don't be a coward just tell him to truth. "I....ha uhh" Grigg felt tongue tied god if he had any chance at Keacilius it had all been wiped away now.
"Would you like me to show you something special Grigg?"
Grigg looked up placing on a light smile thankful Kaecilius had noticed his discomfort.
"Yeah yeah sure show me." Grigg breathed a sigh of relief any magical distraction would be good right about now.
"Close your eye's tightly Grigg and don't open until I say so." Kaecilius voice took a sharp turn.
Grigg winced as he felt the sheets fall below him, Kaecilius tightly gripping his shoulders. Tuning rapidly faster and faster his body clunked oddly like a broken record as fresh frait train sounds burst throughout his ears quieting down as his feet landed on the ground.
"Open them now Grigg."
Grigg nervously opened his eyes once more. A wide smile crept across his face, he knew these walls the cold grey stone lay silent as he walked down towards the end of the dimly lit corridor. A small plastic chair faced the darkened cell the pristine glass reflecting the simple décor around the place. Grigg timidly walked up to the cell clutching his fists placing a hand onto the glass gazing deep into his own refection. Bright blonde hair and the bluest of eye's gazed back at him the snug suit gripped exotically over his body. Grigg giggled with excitement his hands flurrying over his face, Kaecilius had only gone and turned him into Edward Norton's Will Graham.
Speaking of which, where on earth had Kaecilius got to? Grigg was pretty sure Kaecilius wouldn't dump Grigg alone in this setting with the real Hannibal Lecter, the very thought shuddered him. Grigg pressed his face against the glass wearily, eye's rapidly examining the rooms for any sign of life. His eye's eventually met with a poster which was certainly eye catching.
"Is that really me?" He focused solely on the poster, the sketch was truly a masterpiece a combination of dark charcoal and cream pastels blended together to form a almost naked ghost of Grigg his own modesty barley covered by the sheet. But what struck him most was the sea blue surrounding his eye's the sparkle of silver elevating it off the page.
"Wow..."Grigg bushed hard only wishing he truly did look like that in real life. Who on earth could ever see him like that....
"GRIGG!" A smack burst against the glass causing Grigg to stumble on his heel and ungracefully smacking his head against the chair.
"Owwwwwwww..." Grigg moaned his face scrunched up in pain as he lay on the floor.
"Grigg, Grigg I'm so sorry!" Lecters voices cried from behind the glass.
Grigg scoffed off course it wasn't Doctor Lecter, Kaecilius couldn't sound creepy like that even if he tried. The fall though admittedly had left him a little worse for wear.
"Let's get out of here!" Kaecilius suddenly glowed gold above him leaving Lecters body as a stranding corpse.
Astral forms Grigg grinned to himself as he attempted to stretch his true hand out grasped tightly by Kaecilius as they were dragged into the strobe lights once more.
"Mmmmmm what happened..." Will pulled himself up his head thumping madly a thicket of blood greeting his hand.
"You fainted." the collected voice of Lecter greeted him through the glass. "I'm just happy you didn't land on that pretty little face of yours wouldn't want you looking ugly now would we." Lecter grinned with his Cheshire cat smile.
Will let out a frail cough attempting to push Lecters words off himself as he clutched his head in agony stumbling down the hallway.
"For another time my beautiful boy." Lecter was all but a whisper but he was pretty sure Will had heard him judging by the loud slam that greeted him thereafter.
Lecter sighed as he paced around his cell, he too had felt quite strange for a moment but he could never let Will know that showing weakness was not part of the plan. But Will's fall was certainly going to help him craft the mans mind in later sessions. A blue glint caught his eye, he turned to the darkest corner of the room to be greeted by the most beautiful of sites.
"Oh my..." he silently gasped what a very pretty sight for sore eye's and he was dammed sure it reminded him of Will for a fleeting moment. Readjusting his eye's the once chestnut hair had turned completely blonde a slim athletic body sunk under the frail sheet.
"Now there he is...." Lecter smiled hanging the picture proudly in the centre of the room ready for Will's next visit.
Notes:
Gahhh I've haven't updated in a while so this will be a long chapter as soon as I've seen the movie next week again for notes this fic will be over soon after^^
Now you may have noticed Grigg is quite happy unlike before, well something did happen earlier with Jacob & co and will be in the chapter after next.
I just decided to do Kaecilius first as I wrote him out first ;)
I am trash adding Hopkins and Norton but trust me watching that movie you will realise why Hannigram was around way before Mads and Hugh got their hands on it ;)
I am going to go back on this whole fic at some point and re edit the speech paragraph it out so its easier to read like some of my other fics and later chapters.

Chapter Text
Grigg carefully peeled his eye's once more, only to be greeted by pure white blessing every surface it could touch. One could mistake it for heaven, if only they knew the hell which dwelled within. Steel blue tined eye's shot up from its cage, threatening to burn Grigg's very soul.
"Don't worry he cant see you...."
"KAECILIUS!" Grigg jumped back in shock, secretly grateful for the mans presence. Turning to face him he was greeted by the most beautiful of sights.
In all that time from here to there he had never noticed Kaecilius astral form in full view. To say it was stunning would be the understatement of the centenary.
Kaecilius towered above him a coat of gold and violet stung his eyes. The older mans features were blurred almost abstract, his silver locks melted against his head. The clothing seemingly far different from before a long shimmering clock was added a sparkle reflecting from his sharded eye's. Grigg swore it was for more dramatic effect though he would be lying if he didn't appreciate the effort.
"You look....nice." Grigg managed to squeak out, feeling somewhat forced to compliment the effort.
"Thank you Grigg, I worked on this look for a while." Kaecilius beamed pleased his efforts had not been for nothing.
"You look very beautiful yourself, if you don't mind me adding." Kaecilius added willing to push the boundaries now he was truly in his free form.
Grigg squeaked as Kaecilius inched closer the mist surrounding him trickling up Grigg.
"Oh I don't know what you mean by that." Grigg attempted to knock it off awkwardly as a joke but something changed in his voice. It was far more....seductive. It felt meaningful.
Grigg covered his mouth in shock. He had never spoken like that before! Girgg attempted to cast his eye's down willing himself to cower into the corner of embarrassment but his body had other ideas. His back tuned pushing deep into Kaecilius chest, he nestled his chin on the crook of the old mans shoulder nuzzling into his neck.
"Show me." Grigg whispered his voice detached yet it felt so right.
With a wisp of his hand a waterfall of a mirror shot up, Grigg felt the droplets cool his flushed form as it engulfed them.
"Now tell me." Kaecilius muttered into his ear. "What do you see....." His hands dug deeper into Griggs shoulder, willing and answer.
Grigg blinked slowly absorbing what stood before him. Pale sapphire and amber pooled around his body, a tint of silverfish dust freckled around his body like snowflakes. Just like Kaecilius he'd also had a wardrobe change, no longer held down by his tatty old second hand clothes, a bright toga of turquoise clung against him. His eye's stood out the most. A mixture of blue clung around his eye's, clunked up with crackled grey marble skin.
"We are like the mirror." whispered Kaecilius his hot breath raising Griggs temperature to a pin point.
"Always changing with the flow of time, never the same always a little different yet the uncanniness can never be denied." Kaecilius eye's softened, forcing Grigg to turn to match those eye's.
Kaecilius lips lingering over his, the shape cupid brow threatening to lock with his soft puckers. Grigg leaned closer his eye's never closing, their breaths halting against one another the very fabric of time itself threatening to stop.
"Your still wearing that same atrocious aftershave you wore in court."
Grigg jumped out of his skin, jolting a couple of paces from Hannibal, bumping into something along the way.
"Are you alright Will?" The tainted British accent rattled his bones.
Grigg looked down at himself a charcoal with a sky tie clung against him, something that he himself would wear. He poked himself curiously the smooth full figure bounced off, lover handles meshed with a strong workers body. No wonder he had a crush on William Petersen when he was younger. Clawing his face he felt a familiar small stubble beard, soft curls whistled above his head. He hummed to himself intoxicated by the body, when he was older he'd dam kill to get a body like this! His hands danced across his body, too deep in lust to shake it off. The near kiss still lingered on his mind.
"Will...Will...Guard I think Mr Graham is having a little trouble in here." Hannibal said half heartedly, enjoying the show far too much for any more further involvement.
"Uh Hannibal." Will leant his flushed face against the bars, something the man had never done before too afraid of the beast within. Will's mind dulled with confusion, the old feelings of before all this lingered as he rubbed himself like a cat against the bars.
"Haaaniball...." he moaned wetting his lips with need.
"Will?" Hannibal looked on from his bed, genuine concern rising in his heart. He had always know about his feelings for Will and Will's true feelings for him back but he never expected this especially so soon. Slight worry crept in, the encephalitis could have returned especially in a man as unstable Will. Hannibal sniffed deeply...no that wasn't it. Hannibal crept closer to Will, distantly observing the mans lucid behaviour. Will's eye's glassed over, his pink lips puckering moving frantically enticing Hannibal to move forward.
"Will..." He whispered grasping the mans flailing hand through the bars, a deep squeeze met in return.
"Will...."Hannibal leant in closer till their cheeks brushed against the bars. He looked deeper into Wills eye's the man was clearly out of it, living in some fantasy that Hannibal could never see. Whatever ailed Will Hannibal thought was letting his true nature forth, a ravenous beast to mate besides Hannibal's own.
"Will I...."Hannibal sucked in his breath, he had waited for this moment for too long.
"I'm sorry for what I did to you Will." Hannibal's hand stroked the surface above the scar greeted by a unintelligible moan by Will.
Both men were on there knees now threatening the break the very laws of physics to meld the bars away from one another.
"Will....."Hannibal brushed the mans cheek once more, unsure if his words were even being heard.
"Time to go." a dark booming not unlike his own tone bashed his ear drums.
Hannibal collapsed to the ground, his hands clawing against his ears until the ringing finally stopped. Getting up from his daze he looked down to see his Will unconscious against the hard stone floor.
"Guard!" Hannibal screamed in panic, this time he truly ment for them to come. In an instant the guards flooded the room, hurriedly checking over the unresponsive Will.
"What did you do to him!" snapped a rude nurse who Hannibal jolted her name tag for his latest food bank.
"Noting." Hannibal replied, well nothing he was aware of anyway.
"Yeah right..."The nurse muttered sarcastically as she instructed a guard to lift Graham.
Top of the list smiled Hannibal to himself as she totted the room with the stricken Will in tow behind her. Hannibal gripped the iron bars hard willing himself out of there.
"Hannibal..."The faint whisper of his Will echoed around the room. Hannibal breathed a sigh of relief, whatever had ailed Will before clearly had no hold on him now.
"Goodbye Will..."Hannibal shouted as the guards carried him down the hallway, the shutter door clunking behind them, leaving Hannibal once more in the desperation of his long overdue sentence.
