Mike absolutely knows Will better than anyone: the different eye rolls, a certain dip of his head, a Mike versus a Mike versus a Michael. He absolutely knows Will.
So, uh, that's why he flips his shit when he sees Will kiss someone else at Stacey's party... Worse still, Will hits him with: "You don't know me, Mike... You haven't known me for a good long while."
Riddled with guilt and determined to be a better friend...no, Will's best friend, and inspired by Cosmo's Guide to Love Languages, Mike sets out to understand what Will needs to feel loved.
Platonically, of course. After all, friendships are relationships too, right? And Will Byers deserves the world.
Mike, though, is losing his goddamned mind. The harder he tries to be Will's perfect friend, the harder it is to ignore the truth: Will is much more than just his best friend. But the hardest thing of all? Will doesn't seem to want him beyond that.
OR Post-S5, Mike gets insanely jealous when Will kisses someone else, has a spectacular sexuality crisis and accidentally becomes the perfect boyfriend. But after he's made the wrong choice so many times, can Will let him finally get it right?
