"How many apartments have you seen, Ishigami?" his mentor’s voice comes from behind him. Senku definitely didn’t jump at the sudden appearance of his instructor in the lab.
"All of them." the student sighs, focusing on scrolling down another real estate page.
"Then I think this must be your lucky week." Xeno can only be crazy, he’s almost sure he has already seen every available apartment from Tokyo to Kyoto. "I have an apartment to rent, well, it’s not really for rent. But I bought it a few years ago and never used it for anything. The building manager couldn’t care less about noise, and it’s big enough for your lab."
"Really?" And finally a glimmer of hope appears. He almost thinks he could cry from his mentor’s generosity. But he knows Xeno a little more than he should. "Why didn’t you move there?"
"Well... maybe this sounds a little obsessive on my part, but that apartment is next to my son’s apartment."

Gen disappeared from the media a few years ago, becoming a recluse in a small apartment near the college. Xeno tries everything to get closer to his son again.
