Watery nightmare

Summary:

The reason why ive decided to write this is because of how terrible i think the end of s5 ended as and HOW it eneded.

They ninjas have lost, well nearly.

The Preeminent is already awakened, yet not to her full power, with ghosts roaming the small denseleds town of Stix in Ninjago.

Many of the heros of Ninjago has been lost, not dead (yet) but lost. Only four ninjas remained to stop this nightmare; all the other elemental masters is away and incapable to assist.

Will the ninjas falter in this unstoppable nightmare with all hope lost?

Or will this monstrosity end once in for all?

Notes:

As a mild warning: i am not a professional at writing and i am bad at English, and have terrible description, grammar and punctuation, and understanding of dialogues.

This is more like a short prologue of this fic,

Enjoy :2

Chapter 1: Deformed hell

Chapter Text

The Preeminent was awakened to the Second Realm (Ninjago Realm) after millennia of neverending sleep. And it is all because of one ghost, Morro.

The ninjas were at the edge of defeat, but ninja never quit.

There she laid before their very eyes, the Ruler of the Cursed Realm?l. She was colossal, a being of incomprehensible fear, and was superior to the puny 'Heroes of Ninjago’; all chances and destiny was against them. Not even the mighty Cloud Kingdom people could stop this undying clot of malice unveiling to all the realms.

Only a few remained: Lloyd, Cole, Nya, Kai and Master Wu. No remains of optimism smudged their mind and words yet they still tried; it was hopeless with everyone dying, or almost.

Nya whimped, fingers rubbing against her eyebags, “Now Jay is gone, WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO?! THIS IS JUST HOPELESs…” with her voice weakening at the end. Cole patted her shoulders lightly as reassurance.

“Seriously Wu, are you trying to kill us without telling us anything? Or even helping at all, at this point you're planning to kill us.” Cole scowled at the man in white.

“I agre–” Kai acquiesced with Cole until he was interjected from Master Wu, from a sneeze.

He continued from Kai, “ Students, I deeply apologise for not acting and telling you all quick enough. This was all my fault. I never thought this extreme type of catastrophe would occur.” mopingly apologised.

“It's all your fault.” Lloyd spoke out, gasping and looking in every direction, “I've been turned into an adult, I've been turned into a teenager, I've been turned into a possessed child. What else are we even expecting; if you don't help we'll all die quicker and more painful than expected.” He grabbed a pair of poles in his hand.

He walked to the path to The Preeminent and tossed a pole to Kai, “We'll do whatever it takes to defeat the Preeminent and save everyone and all the realms before pure destruction.”

“Always act before the end comes, it's too late but never hopeless.” And he ran towards mounds of houses till where The Ghost was at.

Kai held the pole, impressed yet still fatalistic, “Whoa, our baby boy had grown up so fast.” Kai commented to both change the atmosphere and just simply comment for the sake of it.

“Yeh.” Nya replied.

They all went into different ways to attack the realm ending nightmare: Nya and Cole (bait), Kai (ambush), Master Wu (bystander and support), and u

OujLloyd as a direct attacker and concentration.

“The ritual is almost to full completion…”

“So how are we supposed to help? Or at least contribute since we're like really useful but if we're discovered we're so dead” Nya asked mid run, then tripping on a wetlogged twig from the depths of the water.

Cole helped her up, “I don't know, but we'll have to hide ourselves until the time is right,” pulled her up, “And that time is definitely not now.”

“I'll pretend to be a captured girl and you pretend to be an evil ghost; we'll kill ghosts strategically and… stuff like that.” Nya uttered.

(This is may be like a chatfic atp and im rlly srry)

Nya tensed her grip, her face frail and dreaded with melancholy, a despairing grin exposed. “Or just hold my wrists like a villain and then just straight up attack like some lunatics,” she gasped once more. “Fair?”

Cole roguishly smirked in return, “Bet.” and he snatched a nearby staff, wooden detailed stick in particular.

Cole seized Nya's lower wrist and lightly put her hands on her back, in a disabling position. Walking on top of the failing wooden planks with her to the other ghosts.

“Just bring me to them and I'll kill them all.” Nya whispered.

Cole brought them to some nearby ghosts, sitting on top of a table eating – a lot. Cole took a breath and opened his mouth.

“Guys, I'm new to this ghost thing. Can someone help me or something, just take this girl.” Cole awkwardly said, expecting to be caught.

A male ghost with long hair floated to them. “Yeh, I'll take her from here. Thanks.” The ghost patted Cole's shoulders and strolled to the water ninja.

As the ghost touched Nya, he was shot by a beam of fluid water, behind him. He began to shake violently from the acidic water and collapsed quickly to the floor.

“Damn it must hurt alot. “ Cole commented.

Nya glanced at the infuriated ghosts, “Of course, if you don't wanna get hit then help me and move aside.” The blue one twitched her fingers, and the water followed.

Cole stepped away. In the time of a blink, Nya blasted another surge of salted waters at them, eroding every ghost in sight, with unseen brutality. Most were choking breathlessly with some just screaming and sobbing, violently.

Cole, with side character energy, watched as the other ghosts died before him, disintegrating from reality; stabbing his leg innocuously into the timbers.

“We should go help the others, no?” Cole side eyed.

Nya didn't even glance back behind, “No, cause we just can let the others handle it; unless Kai is getting vertically ripped in half.” Nya spieled to Cole, dismissively.

“Don't jink it, gal. Why are you so damn specific anyways.”Cole was vexed at her antics; as he barged a ghost in the deep pungent inland sea.

“Dunno, always been sarcastic. Or something like that.” Nya added.

The wind was freezing in humidity as their moist skin soaked the watery air, both felt soaked though didn't bother mentioning it.

There were only a few ghosts left (about ten), agony filled the silent noises as the ghosts endured the impending pain; not noisily but, more like, echoing.

“Hey, do you have anyone that you like right now, you're lowkey so damn single.” Nya spilled her mouth out.

“No, why?” Cole considerably replied, leaning on nothing (literally the air).

Nya swayed around abit, “Well… basically, Jay thinks you still like me or something so yeh Jay is just jealous of somethin–”

“Non existent?” Cole cut through Nya's explanation, “I don't even like you, romantically, and I've never got a damn crush, gurl.” Cole ended.

“You're still old and single. Even Kai got someone quicker than you.” Nya deadpanned, in a comeback.

Cole laughed and Nya too.
