Ever since they were brought in together, Leon and Claire were practically a package deal. They both trained together under Krauser, and they had never done a mission without the other. Without him, Claire was sure she would have lost her mind by now. He was the only person she could be honest with, the only person who understood what she’d been through— what they’d both been through. She couldn’t even count the times she had shown up to his apartment in the middle of the night, just looking to talk, looking for something to distract her from the horrors she saw whenever she closed her eyes. How many times he had let her in without question, because they both knew he needed her company too. She knew that he relied on her just as much as she did on him. They were each other's support.
He was her best friend, her closest companion, her partner.
