    In the summer of 2017, while Ilya and Shane are staying at the cottage, Ilya receives a call from Svetlana—she’s pregnant. They had been together one last time, before Scott Hunter kissed Kip on television, and they hadn’t used protection. Shane and Ilya’s relationship doesn’t survive the aftermath.

    On February 14, Mikhail is born. Shane marries someone else, and together they adopt a son, Kai.
