"Ruskin. I am pure evil. I take pleasure in suffering." Charles Augustus Milverton, the King of Blackmail told his secretary.
Ruskin nodded.
"Yes, sir. You are indeed very evil."
"I never show kindness to anyone." Milverton continued proudly. "Only others' pain can ease my soul's hunger. Tempting the good-hearted to sin."
Milverton stopped and looked at the clock.
"Now come. It's time. The cats are waiting."
The two men stood up to leave. They fed stray cats on the street every afternoon. Of course, Milverton liked forgetting that this was a form of kindness. He had a reputation to keep.
