So. I immediately looked up how to pronounce both Comeau and dossier before recording this podfic. I was not correct in my pronunciation guesses on either of them, which sent me into a tailspin as to whether I was pronouncing any last name right at all in this fic (of course, I didn't realize this until I got a good ways into actually recording, at which point, every time I actually stopped to check pronunciation, I was interrupting flow) what I will be doing next time is double-checking I can pronounce the names of every character in the fic before hitting record, but for now, this podfic is extra commentary-heavy. It is also extra giggly, so hopefully it's very fun for folk who like their podfics read with a little extra flavor! If you prefer a cleaner podfic, I'm going to prioritize editing the clean version of this podfic, so it will be available soon-ish. (If you like the giggly and stutter-y and commentary versions best, fear not! I promise I'll keep the old version linked when I add the clean version in the future!)
I've been sick for the past week or so, so the next podfic in this series will have to wait until my voice clears up! (Hence having time to edit this podfic sooner.)
Also, also: I'm still super spice about Geno getting 5 games for slashing that other guy, (yes, it was in the neck, but he was completely fine ) and then some other guy made intentional-looking knee-on-knee contact with another player - taking the other player out for the rest of the season - and only got like, 2 games. The xenophobia in the NHL is REAL. This fic was v much written before these irl events, but alas, it has been read less than a dozen games after them, and it turns out I'm still spicy.
