“Anything I want,” Lan Zhan echoes, a strange fire burning in his eyes. It’s almost like the one that means Wei Wuxian is going to have to feign illness to avoid sitting down the next day, but… different. Less hot, and brighter. It’s the look Lan Zhan gets before he says the things that make Wei Wuxian stammer and blush and lose his mind, the soft things and the fragile things. Kevo floated there for a long time, remembering his father’s songs of the great storms of the Journey, when the waves of Ossë would gather themselves up tall and terrible and crash into the shore with a joy like that of Tulkas in the battle-flood; when Manwë’s airs would turn metalgray and livid with tendrils of fire; when the Eldar remembered again that they were to the Powers, even Ossë the Lesser Power, as a droplet to the Sundering Sea. They remembered who he had served, once.
Such storms came never to the strands of Valinor. Here, all wildness answered to the frailty of the Children; Oromë’s beasts dulled their fangs, and the Earth-Queen tempered the poison of her creations. The sea rose but seldom, and then only to such heights as music could answer. Even as a child, there had been no peril for Kevo in the shallow waters of the coast.

He hopped off the carriage with light, easy grace and faced the bandits who were circling around him. “My name is Wen Kexing, a mere traveler seeking to see the world. How should I address you and what did you want to discuss with me?”
Snapping open his white fan, he started to lazily fan himself with it, despite the chilly air. The leader of the bandits gave him an unimpressed look. Rich people were crazy.
Bandits invade the mountain and regret their life choices when they get unwillingly pulled into a little roleplay.
