Summary
Everyone knows that alphas and omegas couldn't be friends.
One was bound to fall for the other, resulting in either a broken friendship or a blooming romance. This was a fact of life, an undeniable truth with so few exceptions that they weren’t worth noting. When Tsuge and Adachi became friends in college, everybody assumed their “platonic” relationship would evolve into something more. After all, what kind of omega hangs around an alpha that much without the intent to mate him? Everyone thought the pretense was ridiculous, but their classmates and families decided to wait politely while the two got their act together.
It was somewhat of a surprise, then, when Tsuge and Adachi had yet to mate after over a decade of friendship.
...
Or, the one where people keep misinterpreting Tsuge and Adachi's friendship and a pining Kurosawa suffers for it. -

Summary
Named the Last Dragonlord as his birthright, Merlin knows he must be responsible to his fellow druids and honor the tenets of the prophecy. That doesn't mean he's entirely happy about it and of course, trudging through yet another year of ritual with yet another potential consort, Merlin's perhaps grown a bit too blasé about the whole thing. So when Arthur Pendragon shows up in the Valley of the Fallen Kings, and they're both swept up in the auspices of said prophecy, he's not entirely sure how to feel about it all (or about the handsome, arrogant prince).

Summary
Merlin’s life isn’t his own to live. The tattoo that sets him apart as a magic user has the annoying tendency to glow gold, and no one will give him a job, and he’s been pining uselessly after his straight best friend slash housemate—who, he knows, mostly lets him live there because Arthur is decent enough not to let him sleep in the gutter, even if he’s an annoying prat the rest of the time.
But then Arthur decides to take the world by storm and starts pushing for some new laws to be accepted, and Merlin finds himself in the middle of Arthur’s attempt to change England.
