“Ya know, I think you locking lips with a Dunkin’ straw more than my lips is kinda fucked up.”
Ellis snickers as John practically chokes on his iced coffee, “What?”
You smirk and give him a shrug, “What? Your lips are on a Dunkin’ straw so much more than they are on mine and that’s fucked up considering we’re dating and everything.”
John opens his mouth and then closes it and then opens it again. Then closes it. He pauses for a few seconds before saying, “I honestly don’t know how to respond to that.”
Ellis pats her colleague on the shoulder, “It’s probably best not to.”
John looks confused, “But they’re basically saying that I like Dunkin’ more than them!”
“You do,” you and Ellis say in unison which causes both of you to burst into cackles.
He grumbles, “You guys are fucking with me and I don’t appreciate it.”
“Relaaaax, hon. Just all love and games to get through the shift,” you give him a wink and head down the hall to check up on a patient.
Ellis chuckles, “I hope you do well on keeping them because, if you don’t, I will be swooping in if you fuck things up.”
“Yeah. Yeah. I know,” he says with a chuckle.
Ellis looks at him seriously, “Oh I’m not joking,” she then leaves him to check out a new patient, leaving John to rush after her.
“No, but you are, right? Right, Ellis?! You’re joking right?!”
