Summary
Hoseok’s rarely seen Yoongi this relaxed around anyone else. Even around their other members, he stays strange and closed off. Either too tired or too energetic, cocky and self-deprecating, he’s rarely genuine, often deadpan. Yoongi is a hard read. Everyone loves him, but Hoseok knows him. He pays attention, he listens. This version of Yoongi, unselfconscious and unpretentious, is the one that’s Hoseok’s best friend. The one he thought only he saw. It bites, deep in his gut like a cramp, that he was wrong.
He realizes, before his mind can catch up, he doesn’t like Jiwon. He didn’t like Jiwon from the first moment he saw him, simply because before then, he thought he was the only one who could make Yoongi look like that.
Hoseok is a friendly person. He's nice, pleasant, his members can attest to this. Only, suddenly, Yoongi has a new friend, and suddenly, Hoseok can't seem to be friendly. He can't make sense of himself, neither what's changed or why. And he can't stop wondering over things that are probably better left in the dark.
