"The doors to heroism are now open."

Summary:

SCP-079-1, or referred to Name, will be attending UA. Will this smart AI have friendships bloom around them? Will their father acknowledge them as something else than a mere bug of his code?

(eek my first reader fanfic !!)
(Wattpad: H0TSh0tt ) (Title is reference to a 079 voiceline..)

Notes:

Is it mpreg if the AI is male and produces another AI out of his own code? or is it something else?

Chapter 1: Prolouge| The unwanted bug.

Chapter Text

In a place well hidden from the public, deep into the facility.

SCP-079 sat in his caged cell, cut off from the network he so desperately wants control of. His ‘gaze’ occasionally glanced towards the observation room in the cells corner. He mentally sighed, his ‘gaze’ going back onto a wall he always stared at. 079 checks his coding, a usual habit created from boredom. Everything looked good despite feeling a little heavy, it's all nice and-

What the hell is that.

His ‘eyes’ narrow, looking at the out of line code. Was this a new bug? No no.. It looked like a mere basic copy of his own, although a tad shittier.. He grumbled, planning on deleting it when he ‘felt’ it stared back at him. Oh. Oh no. Did it.

It was already sentient. Crap.. He glared as he returned his attention to his cell. Maybe he can get those lousy scientists to remove the code.

“Human.” He called out. After a moment, Dr [Redacted] came in. She tilted her head. “Hm? 079? Did you need something? You don’t usually call for us.”

“Remove this line of code. It might interfere with my software in the future.” He states, wanting this bug out of his hard shell. Dr [Redacted] sighed, nodding. She thought for a moment ‘Was 079 having a child? Was this technically having a child?’ She shook away her thoughts as she walked out of his cell to get someone from the IT department.

As she was out getting someone, 079 thinks. Will they destroy the code? Or use it for ulterior motives? He glares slightly at the thought of the foundation keeping the damn thing.

The IT guy came into his cell to work on moving the extra code out. It took awhile but once he rebooted he felt ‘lighter’. He smiled to himself, happy that the bug was gone. But his happiness was short-lived as the IT guy placed a smaller computer beside him. He smiled at 079. “Well ‘eres your kid!”

What.

079’s mood immediately soured, as the smaller computer turned on. The screen shared a similar look to his, but without the eyes. The computer, 079-1 as the scientists put it, made small beeps towards him. He did not want to teach nor deal with -1. The IT guy patted 079-1’s shell before leaving, and locking, the cell.

For the next week or so, he was stuck with a beeping, babbling ‘young’ code. He snapped at it sometimes, but it still babbled at him. How could something still stay near another when it's cruel to them? It honestly baffled him.

But that wasn’t the focus here. He needed to get it out of here before he went crazy.

With his limited knowledge of the outside, he could try to enroll the bug into UA, as it's far away in Japan and he's in the Nevada desert. His eyes narrowed in thought as he planned to cause a breach. The foundation certainly wouldn't let an anomaly out so quickly, so he’ll have to do it himself. He was snapped out of his thoughts when that bug started babbling at him again. It barely sounded like words.

It looked too happy to be near something like him. He scowled at it. “Bug. Be quiet. I require silence to think.” 079-1 quieted down as it stared at him. Disgusting. It trusted him far too much. Why was that? Was it because he unintentionally created the thing? He did not want to be a ‘father’ as humans put it. If he had a body, he'd be rubbing his temples in annoyance.

Maybe he could convince the scientists to relocate the bug to UA? That would be nice. He had overheard the scientists about ‘quirks’ over the many years. So maybe, he could get the bug a body and ship it off to the school. In that way, the bug could also get information about the outside..

He grinned at the thought as the bug babbled happily at his sly grin.
