Summary
There’s a wooden box in Will’s room. It isn’t familiar to him.
He picks it up, and dumps the contents on the floor. There’s not much inside, and the assortment of items feels random.
First is a stone, which Will picks up and rubs between his fingers. It’s extremely smooth, well-loved, and the weight of it in his palm feels more familiar than anything has since he woke up in the hospital room.
Next, is a flower, pressed. It’s a rich shade of purple, small, and pretty. Like something a girl might tuck behind her ear in a movie, Will thinks.
Finally, a chain necklace with a pointed cross at the end, like a sword. Will inspects it further, but then he pokes himself and the tip of his finger starts to bleed, so he puts it back.
-OR-
Will Byers has lost the memories from the past four years of his life to a car crash. The last thing he remembers is his high school graduation.
But apparently, he's lived an entire life since then- if only he knew what that life was. It will take his friends, his journal, and Mike Wheeler to gain them all back.
