    Johnny Cade and Sodapop Curtis are soccer rivals, both fighting for the same spot after college. They’re both excellent players, but Soda has a spark and natural talent for shine that puts him more in the spotlight.

    As a last resort, Johnny goes to a gypsy and curses him. He hopes the obsession curse will cause him to focus more on one of the many girls Soda is always around.

    That, of course, backfires. And not Johnnys tied down in Sodas apartment.
