Work Text:
Listen to the sound of the falling rain:
Pitter patter, pitter patter…
The rhythm and whispers of solemn pain,
Conduct a symphony of introspective chatter.
Sometimes I wish I could turn off the noises in my brain,
So that I wouldn’t need to hear my heart shatter.
But with every storm and repeated refrain,
My silent teardrops remind me that my feelings matter.
