What made everything worse tonight was that Abolish had slept and eaten well today. They had no excuses for how affected they were. Pyro hadn’t even taken that much blood, Abolish could tell because they were still blushing. Pyro hadn’t even really done anything flirtatious either. All he had done was exist in the same air as them. This was infuriating, and yet Abolish couldn’t bring themself to hate it.
“You alright, love?” Abolish still wasn’t used to that pet name and the way it made their heart squeeze. They swallowed, not able to tear their eyes away from the vampire in front of them. This attraction, this lust, this wanting… It shouldn’t feel so addicting. Abolish knew better than to sin. But humans—and vampires—were fallible creatures, and God knew that.
Abolish panted, lost in how gorgeous Pyro was. Their hair was a soft, pure white, falling just past their grey shoulders. Their eyes were the most gorgeous red Abolish had ever seen, brighter than any ruby, and surrounded by the purest black, as though they had been lost in an empty void. Their fangs were razor sharp, and the feeling when they were lodged in Abolish’s neck was something the human would probably never get over, even with the numbing venom.
And their voice… Pyro’s voice was a sound that Abolish would gladly listen to forever. When he was comfortable in an environment, confident enough to speak up, his voice lost that high, panicked edge. During those moments, his voice was deeper and it had a slight texture to it; one that Abolish couldn’t get out of their head.
Abolish didn’t know how to reply; they barely even remembered the question. All they knew was that they needed Pyro’s lips on their own right now, and if they ended up getting damned for eternity because of it, that was a problem for their future self.
The human stepped closer, setting their gloved hand on the junction between Pyro’s neck and shoulder. Pyro didn’t react other than his eyes widening slightly and one of his hands moving to Abolish’s side. Gently, Abolish moved their hand to the back of Pyro’s neck, pulling his lips onto their own.
They had never kissed before (because this would probably land them in Hell). It was chaste and quick, just barely a peck. Still, they found themself wanting more. “Jack…” they muttered.
“Woah, I didn’t expect you to be the one to kiss me, Abolish,” Pyro teased, running their free hand though Abolish’s hair. “Finally done stalling, are we?”
Their voice sent shivers down their spine, and all Abolish could do was nod and kiss Pyro again, this time keeping their lips together for longer than the millisecond from before.
Pyro eventually nicked Abolish’s bottom lip with his fangs and Abolish whimpered quietly, opening their mouth. Pyro hummed, and Abolish greedily swallowed the sound. This man was infatuating, and all Abolish could seem to do was let him suck on their lip, not bothering to even try hiding the sounds they made. If Pyro was anything like Abolish, the sounds would egg him on—and that was something Abolish was only just now noticing they wanted.
Eventually, Abolish pulled back, gasping for breath. Pyro looked almost hungry again, but Abolish could tell he was well fed. “Mh. For someone so confident to start it, you sure are quick to give in,” they remarked, and, if it was even possible, Abolish blushed deeper.
“I-” Pyro was quick to cut them off, pressing a peck on their lips. Abolish tried to focus beyond the lingering feeling. “I- if it wasn’t clear already, I… love you,” they said, the confession somehow harder than the kiss.
Pyro brushed the hair away from their face. “Well, I love you too, Abolish,” they said, their hand on Abolish’s hip moving to hold their hand. Abolish found no good response but looking at the floor, blushing, and nodding.
“That- that’s good, I guess,” they muttered. Abolish had no clue how to go from here or what to do. Even in their 13 years of training, they hadn’t been trained for this. Why would they have been? The urge to grab their bag and leave was a strong one, but it was overwhelmed by the knowledge that Pyro would probably have a panic attack if they did that.
Pyro chuckled quietly. Even though they weren’t looking, Abolish was just sure he had that stupid smirk on. The vampire’s hand in theirs felt like it was burning hot, even though Abolish knew that Pyro, being dead, was stone cold.
Pyro took his free hand and gently moved Abolish’s head to face him. “Only good?” He teased, squeezing their hand.
“Uh… Top three, probably,” was Abolish’s flustered reply. Pyro just chuckled and pulled them into another kiss, pressing closer to them with a hand in their hair. Abolish could die and go to hell right now and it’d be far more than worth it.
After a few seconds, Pyro muttered, “so, uh. We’re more than friends, right?”
“Friends don’t usually make out, Jack.”
“…Oh yeah.”
