Chapter Text
Today is a relaxing day off for Angela, she's not shooting today, no shows tonight. Nothing to film, nowhere to go.
Just Angela and Spork.
Amanda on the other hand does have to film, having left earlier that morning, so when Angela wakes up in bed alone, there's no rush to do anything.
She stretches and pets Spork for a couple minutes before taking a nice long shower, relaxing in the warmth as she lets the stress of the last few weeks wash away.
Angela exits the shower and gets dressed in a comfy outfit to take Spork out to pee.
When she returns to the apartment she finds a post-it note with a heart on the fridge. She smiles at it and leaves it there as she turns to start some coffee.
For the first time of the day she pulls out her phone and responds to her texts from Amanda.

She pours her cup of coffee and brings it with her to sit with Spork on the couch.
“It's a nice slow day,” she murmurs to him, scratching behind his ear, “Everything feels so warm and fuz-”
Angela cuts herself off.
The warm fuzz she feels isn't contentment, it's regression.
Groaning to herself she pulls out her phone to look at the call sheet, huffing in annoyance when she sees that Amanda, Shayne, and Chanse are supposed to have just started a Smosh Mouth shoot.
After looking through the rest of the schedule, Angela scrolls through her contacts to find the only person at work that's not part of a video right now.
The phone rings a few times until right before the final ring, he picks up.
“Hey,” Spencer answers, “What's up?”
“I'm pushing back a drop, can I have a ride to the studio?” she asks, skipping past pleasantries, “I’m not really supposed to hold them back and I don't want to Uber and Amanda’s in a video and so is-” she rambles until he cuts her off.
“I've got you,” he says firmly, “I'll be there soon as I can, do you need me on the phone?”
Angela sighs in relief, “Thank you so much Spencer,” she says genuinely, “I'll call back if I do, I'm gonna try to pack a bag before I drop.”
“Don't knock,” she tells him seriously, “Call me to open the door.”
“No knocking.” he confirms, the ignition of his car audible in the background, “Be there soon, be safe.”
“Thank you,” she murmurs again before hanging up.
She stands and grabs her bag from by the door, checking what's inside before doing her best to replenish it as she's slowly dragged down into headspace.
“Wanna change,” Angie mumbles to Spork, picking him up and wandering to her room.
Placing him on the bed, she turns to her dresser to pick out some clothes. Not finding what she wants she moves over to her mama's closet, stealing a grey sweatshirt and pulling it over her head.
Angela smiles softly as she turns her head and sniffs the collar, enveloped in the scent of Amanda.
Content, she toddles back to her own dresser and switches her plain sweatpants for a pair of soft yellow shorts.
“Did it,” she tells Spork proudly, moving over to the bed to grab a pacifier from the side table and her stuffed dog Cannoli and blankie off the bed.
Grabbing a pair of socks on the way out, she carries Spork and her comfort items back to the living room, pacifier moving lazily in her mouth.
“Want mama,” she tells her dogs sadly, fumbling with the remote as she attempts to put on Bluey, something that is much more difficult when her reading skills are messed up.
Just as she finally manages to get the show on her phone rings.
“I'm here,” Spencer says when she answers, “You good to let me in?”
She rushes over to the door and fumbles with the locks before pulling it open, “Spence!” she chirps excitedly, hovering beside him.
He rolls his eyes fondly, walking in and closing the door behind them, “Hug or a quick moment on the couch?” he offers as he reaches over and pets an excited Spork.
“Hold please,” she mumbles through her pacifier, scrambling into Spencer's lap as soon as he sits down and wrapping her limbs around him.
“Hello to you too, munchkin.” he teases, loosely looping his arms around her, “Did you pack your bag?”
Angela nods, resting her chin on his shoulder, “Bag, clothes, done.”
“Nice,” he praises awkwardly, “Just need some shoes then we're off to work,”
She hums and climbs out of his lap, “Help?” she asks quietly, holding the clip of the pacifier towards him.
He reaches out and clips it to her sweater without hesitation, following her to the door and helping her with her shoes before she can ask.
“All set?” he double checks as he pulls her bag over his shoulder, “Spork's good?”
Angela nods, looking down at Cannoli and her blankie in her hands as Spencer opens the front door. She quickly tucks the pacifier into her sweater and grabs her bat as they walk out.
“What did you name your bat?” he asks curiously as he helps her buckle her seat belt, making sure to place it away from her and in the trunk.
“Dinger,” she answers proudly, “Like mama baseball.”
Spencer hums as he starts the car, quickly turning down and switching the music to something more appropriate.
“Thanks you,” she murmurs as he heads towards the office, “No wanna alone.”
“No one would ever leave you alone while little,” he assures her, “You can always call me.”
She smiles and the two head towards the office in relative silence. Angela a bit too little to start a conversation and Spencer too awkward to have a one-sided conversation with a little.
They arrive and Spencer helps her out of the car and collects her stuff, making sure to pull out his and Angela's lanyards to get into the office.
Angela holds his hand until they reach the main pathway, the little excitedly skipping to the front door of the office to see one of her newer friends.
“Mack!” she yells excitedly, leaping into the large man's arms.
“Superstar!” he yells back as he catches her before tossing her up into the air and catching her again.
“I wasn't expecting you today,” he tells her as he places the giggling girl back down, checking the duo’s badges even if he knows them.
“Dropped accident.” Angela answers, following Spencer as gestures towards the door, “Bye bye!”
“See ya later, superstar.” the security guard calls after her before returning to his chair to keep watch again.
“Alright,” he says, checking his watch, “I've gotta direct a video in about 10 minutes, that means your mama should be done.”
Angela looks at him excitedly, shoving her pacifier back into her mouth, “Mama!” she cheers quietly, reaching for his hand to drag him towards the Games stage.
He rolls his eyes as he takes her hand and allows her to drag him to the door, the little waiting for him to open it for her.
Hearing crew talking on the other side, Spencer pushes the door open and Angela drops his hand, rushing into the room.
“Mama!” she yells excitedly, running into a surprised Amanda’s arms.
“Hi Angel,” she coos, raising an eyebrow at Spencer behind the little's back, “Did you call your uncle Spencer to drive you here?”
She nods, tucking her face into her caregivers neck as she's picked up, “Was droppin’, call Spence cuz mama filmin’”
Amanda kisses the side of her head, “Mama's so proud of you,” she praises, “You did so good calling for help.”
Angela hums, relaxing into her caregiver’s arms with her comfort items pressed between them, pacifier moving slowly against Amanda's neck.
“Thank you so much,” Amanda tells Spencer, taking the bag and bat from him, “Seriously.”
He shrugs, “It's what families do,” he replies easily, patting Angela's back as he heads over to talk to production, “See you later, kid.”
