    Mikhail and Ilia spend most of the year separated by continents, varying time zones and relentless demands.

    They are competitors on the ice, friends to the world and those closest, and more only to each other. Constant texts, phone calls, and clumsy chaste moments at a competition when they can get away from any prying eyes can hardly suffice.
