   Song I listened to a lot while writing this even if I went with a different title: “Faster” by Matt Nathanson.

   A show canon refresher that might help since it crops up here: when they are separated, Claire looks at birds and thinks of Jamie. I’ve preserved that here though the separation in this AU is shorter and very different.
