Summary
Five years after the war, Hermione is Deputy Madam Minister for Magic. She is overworked and underappreciated. Kingsley is Minister of Magic, but he is constantly abroad; he leaves everything to Hermione. Lucius Malfoy managed to worm his way out of Azkaban and has created a political party to protect Pure Bloods from blood bias and lineage erasure, following the war. Hermione has enough to contend with, so when dozens of Muggle children go missing from a school playground in Wiltshire, it all threatens to overwhelm her.
