Summary
Stelle Author was a ray of sunshine in the lives of most people, even Dan Heng’s. She was always the kind of energetic, upbeat, and often excessive individual who made boring classes less bland and found the good in people. If Stelle were a category, she’d be chaotic good. Her older brother, Caelus, could be just as chaotic if he were around people he trusted. Stelle often brought it out of him.
However, Stelle’s life has never been easy. Her heart condition, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, has made sure of it. When she was younger, the fainting spells were more frequent. As she grew up, she could feel her body deteriorating despite everything she did to keep healthy. But even through the piles of medication and fainting spells and hospital visits, she continued to remain bright.
Their final year at Herta’s Academy of Excellence is what brings an end to Stelle’s happy visions of the future. And despite his attempts to stay reserved and unattached, Stelle still wormed her way into his heart.
